Fam! Don’t let SAMMIT distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.
Oh man, that sound comp stuff hit in the feels. I've done a lot of systems working in car audio up to about 10 years ago when I got out. One of my favorites that I put hands on was a first gen SF Forester with a NOS livery and a wild system. One time he came in to get an aftermarket OnStar rear view mirror installed (at that time they were selling them on the market for non GM vehicles). He had to return it & uninstall it because his sound system kept triggering OnStar response teams. The decibels would register as the car experiencing "violent catastrophic rollover events". I've been sitting on a full system for almost 20 years now that I just never installed, this video made me want to break it out and put it in one of my cars. It's all Alpine, a mono amp, 4 channel amp, as well as a type R 10 sub & type R door speakers. Type X would have been my optimum choice but at the time they were double the price of Type R (since that's the top tier of Alpine) and generally a bit harder to come across. You could special order them directly, but you weren't getting that shit in inventory at physical locations unless you were super high end and clientele was buying it a ton. It went Type E/S/R/X back then, I haven't been in the game lately to know if they've introduced more lines since.
Yeah same here. I literally melted 4 type R 10's in a bass comp back in 2004. It all got to expensive. Then I got into distance shooting and 3 gun shooting. 🤦♂️ And I thought stereo shit was expensive! Lol
Wishing the family all the best brother!!! Having my son was the best thing that even happened to me. I was so scared, your going to be an amazing dad Sam!
It would be cool for you & Okachan to do a series on his history of grip/drift racing with some old vid's of his past, if he still has them! Like, if he raced on that "widow maker" corner at this track and other's.. Just a thought Sam
that bass truck is dope. i built a few with buddies when i was younger. yes we whent that, pretty sure i can find a bunch of the trucks in some slamology videos from 2014
coming from the UK this proper takes me back to the old Max Power days when you would have a massive sound system in a little Peugeot 206 and the system was worth 10 times the price of the car. those were the good old days!
BIG fan of your little van bro!!! Would love to see a build series on it making as big of power possible from a little 3 banger turbo, good awd system and neat interior… anyways take it easy bud and looking forward to meeting little Sam 👍👍 hope may is doing well ❤
I can definitely appreciate sound competition and good sound in a car. I also started off with sound in my car when I first started driving so I can relate
Konichiwa Aussie bro. Great content. Looking to do S chassis build this year so thanks for the information to help educate me on the possibilities. Sugoi .Best wishes May! ✌️🤘🇦🇺🇯🇵
Little tip on the welding for sheet metal 16 to 18 gauge you don't want to run beads. Tack it all the way around skipping around to allow it stay "cool" and not warp from the heat
Damn this is a great way to top off a Monday. Sitting here watching Sammit eating yakisoba and yakitori. Not as good as authentic but pretty good for American Japanese food
protect your ears sam, i got perma tinnitus and its the most depressing and sad thing sometimes that really gets you, no matter how fun always protect your hearing please!
Awesome video as always man. Cool to see some sound comps with a db meter. Hey just a couple of helpful tips on the body. If you cut a piece out to replace, try and cut a piece close to the size but weld some small tabs on the side. Use a magnet to hold it while you tac it in. Keeps the material the same level as the rest of the panel and after grinding you Dont need as much filler, second tip if you’re welding a bigger section run a series of a couple inch sections and move around. Helps keep the heat down and less like to warp a panel. Trying to correct a warped panel is rough. Keep up the killer videos.
Yo! Try putting 2 electric turbos in the car from the last video to a small intercooler system than do tests with that orange fan you have to simulate air coming into the intercooler. That plus the 2 electric turbos hopefully show results 💪🏼
Yeah you gotta get used to the bass, I find it relaxing because it helps with my tense muscles. My exhaust also helps I have an 06 civic lx sedan with a Spec-D cat back with the muffler taken off, so yeah it makes people mad and or happy if they are a car enthusiast lol, the loudest my car has been on the DB meter was 163.8 DB that’s still with the front catalytic converter, just imagine what how loud it would be with a straight pipe system with a tune💀
in my experience, you typically dont run beads on body panels since the heat will warp the panel. Just run tacks around the panel alternating spots on the panel to not warp it.
The banked corner has the same degree as a velodrome. Most velodromes are around 33 degrees. So I know from seeing something like this myself, that this banked corner is pretty steep.
I saw footage of the hakasuka driven flat out by gan-san Mothharu kurosawa on best motoring on that old fugi speed way banking, into a very long right hander...
The part where he scares the guy in the car sleeping, I just thought what if Sam was the reason he woke up and to him it’s just some random ass foreigner screaming at him as he walks past 😂😂😂😂😂😂

My number one incentive to visit Japan, the general acceptance that a nap can happen anywhere anytime

Those audio builds were insane. Loved that walled off car with sundown subs. Sam car audio is a biggggg culture like car racing is.

Great episode dude. If it gets a copyright flag please cut out the sound off and put it back up. Had a great feel to it today

Sam... Have you never been to a Rave? lol So good...

As someone who has a stereo system worth as much as my entire car, I approve of this video! 🔊😵

13:00 - Sam getting payback IRL for all the explosion clips he sneaks into videos.
