The most difficult part of this video is understanding how to get into the interior portion of the property without spooking the deer. Even with all the screening. I’m looking at your stand set ups and I’m saying “how the heck is he slipping in there”. If the wind is right one way it’s wrong the other way. Very frustrating. The video is awesome. Your methods are second to none and your property looks like Disney land for deer habitat. If I was a deer. I’d want to live here. Until of course I was 5. Then I’d be dead. Lol
Rod' I guess I need to create another video that focuses on how & when to hunt interior stand set ups on small properties like this example. It's a true test to the landowners ability to stay out of stands that will blow his hunts and be willing to wait for favorable wind directions, barometric pressure & rut period timing. When I mention rut stands I'm saying one hunt per season in one general location under ideal conditions.

I have found it interesting that after doing a TSI and land design that the deer still haven't completely adapted to the new land and trails. A lot of the deer are still using their old habits and terrain vs the easier routes that you have taught. Im hoping that over time it will start a new transition, but as of now I'm not completely sold on the idea of being able to transform land on paper and get the deer to do exactly what you want.
It can take some time and I believe that when deer continue to use a location there's a reason "wind scenting" or more...let the deer show you what they like!
Great video. Have you tried sorghum food plots? I planted a bunch of small one's in an ag field conv for first yr cover but I think they may turn out to be a good food source as well. It's regular varieties not the hybrid. I have those for screening as well.
Do you do anything to protect your spruce trees? I have planted a lot of them for screening and the bucks rub every limb right off them
I have fenced them when the bucks bothered them, I've never had browse issues with Norway spruce and I try to plant trees that are 18"-24" 500+ at a time.

How do you get deer to come out more during the daytime??
The number 1 reason deer don't move during daylight is human disruption, (human scent, hunting the wrong stands during the wrong times & overhunting). If your going to go through all the hard work to build a deer movement utopia. Please be patient & wait until the right weather, wind conditions, time of year (seaking period & rut).
