Well, I mostly beat the story before doing EV training and changing moves. I think it's because you most of what you need near the end of the story play to get good Pokemons.

i just started playing this game, but why would you want to farm heart scales?

TheAndyzilla Whenever Pokemon level up they learn moves, some moves however, are only learned at lower levels so for example, the ultra beast kartana learns sacred sword at level 1. But when you catch kartana it's at level 60 so the only way to get the move sacred sword is by going to the move reminder in the video and giving her a heart scale so that she can teach it the move. Make sense?

DarkLink 555 Pretty strait forward after Elite 4 go to poni island, on the left side of the island there should be unexplored areas, just work your way up the path and you get there eventually. Beware though there will be a battle when you enter so heal up your pokemon first.
