@wayne.wav I wanna thank you for sharing this engineering tips. I just finished SAE Institute in Atlanta and we got NO HANDS-ON Engineering courses at all. So, we basically did homework that could be done by googling and watching youtube. I'm tryna learn Vocal Mixing on the fly. Thank you for your channel and knowledge.
It's been 2 years and many failed attempts but I feel I am final starting to understand allot more now. Like there is understand then there is intuitive understanding. Like making epic food. Tock some time off to understand beats and flows better and just vibing with handpans, didgeridoo and loop stations. The more you understand the more you get excited to try something new in a different way. Yeee
🔥🔥🔥🔥 insanely informative per usual, I FINALLY understand parallel compression after all this time. I’m noticing an uptick in the creativity as well, the thumbnail was perfect. Amazing job Wavy 🏄🏾♂️
Thanks for doing all these videos! I was psyched to hear your interview on the Working Class Audio podcast this week! It's awesome you are so passionate about passing on all this knowledge to the peeps!
Bro on god you the best out hands down I’ve learned so much from you in this business it’s crazy I came across this video last night I was always told that I had a thin vocal and would go to do a cut and four years my vocals would sound so nasally and completely different from the pros I mixed a track going off the info in this video last night and let me tell you outta all the ppl I sent the track to the said it’s my best sounding one Thanks bro 💯 appreciated ima stay tuned in
This dude 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂😂. Dope video tho bruh and yes the adjustments were very clear in letting me hear a change in the vocals. I normally need some of the low end out of my vocals.
🔥🔥🔥 wavy da goat best audio engineer on UA-cam fs fs. G please can you do another multiband compression tutorial but with the Studio One multiband dynamics plug-in?? That would help me out alot!
I start by I love the videos, I would love to work and learn from you personally that would be amazing. Artist but I love the engineering side and looking to open my own studio this year.. Your videos are super helpful I would love to know if the outboard gear you have plays a role in all of the in the box mixing and the sounds we hear. We hear the outcome which sounds great but is the artist performing through a certain high quality pre amp and A/D converter, with eq and compression before it hits pro tools first and then are these plugins added on top of that analog processing? I think there is a reality for newcomers including myself wondering if this sound is achievable and is it going to happen just recording through our Apollo twins converter and then simply just adding these plugins. I haven't seen one UA-camr talk about the possibility of processing that happens before "we jump into the video" or mass content being provided on these videos and there are so many of the same videos. Thanks.
@@ladibeats thanks, that was long winded and almost confused me after reading it over. Yeah, we watch the vids and they just show mixing and we hear results, but how it’s the process and processing going in. No one talks about this.
Lol I dam near choked laughing so hard high pass filter up to 600 hz lol awww dam how you gone get thick vocals out of that lol my face hurt from laughing dang lol
C'mon Wavy, give us some more of that secret sauce for thickening! I can't join now, I bought so many damn plugins over the holidays?!@?! Regardless, I like the way you teach, keep it up, man.
Why do you use a limiter to parallel compress rather than something like an 1176? What are the advantages of using this technique, is it to catch the parts that sound good, send help wavy!
What he say can be a little to thick sometimes lol right like a chick can be a little too thick sometimes not body shaming if she love her self it's all good still tho sometimes she can be too thick to handle lol jk oh we talking about vocals my bad back to the discussion of the video lol

“A little too thick, and then is it really thick?” 😭😭 wavy you a fool man, keep up the fire tutorials fr

artist to artist , i love this song in every video
💯 Thanks this is a better method to thickening.
Guilty of going crazy with the low end cut. 😫
Perfect timing drop. I'm working on a mix with significant low frequencies and something sounded wrong about it. This helped Big Time, no Rush
