I wish I knew about these sooner, I live in an apartment and only play with headphones. Could have skipped buying my Fender Rumble 40 and just got this.
I have a Rumble 40, and it just stop working and idk why. This [The VOX] seems fantastic to me because with the Rumble I had to put the track on my cell phone, listen to it with headphones and turn up the volume on the amplifier to practice with the "band". Obviously my family was bothered by noise. But with the VOX I can connect the track directly to the amp and listen only to myself. I wish I had known before
Last year I bought a bass on Craigslist and the guy threw one of these with it, finally last week had to work out of town for a week so I took it with the bass, got batteries on the way and the first night in the hotel room I was blown away at how cool, convenient and fun this tiny gadget is.
This vid just saved me a lot of hassle from my neighbors. Thanks for this vid, I ran out and picked one up at GC and I'm back to learning the New set list.
That was the Perfect DEMO, you worked it through all quick like Bunny! Most reviewers didn't read the instructions and missed a tonne of stuff~! I now know how to access the 2*3 Drum tracks.. but bear in mind you can just DOWNLOAD BEATS to your phone and play along to them through the AUX PORT!!!!! (that nobody else mentioned)
Man I’ve had that thing for years and I didn’t know about the power button and rhythm button combo giving you access to more beats 😮😮😮 bout to get out bed and try this😂
I also use mine into the aux input of my Bluetooth speaker when I want a portable battery powered rig for playing by myself when I’m out of town or when i go to the lake!
The first version was cool too, although there were no rhythms, the three knobs were: GAIN, TONE, VOLUME, plus a second switch for normal mode, or compressed bass boost , that overdrived depending on the gain and volume settings. Cool device for shure! A bit plastiky, but it saved many gigs that had no amps, but only . line inputs on a console. Tickled my eardrums pretty strong too, you know, for 2 AAA batteries. LOUD in the phones, the aux input was a blast too.
Hey, all reviews ain't gotta be perfect. Sometimes u just gotta get the word out to the ppl. Never would hv known about this little thing otherwise. Shot out Bully for this one!
OH MY GOD! i have been trying to find something like this that allows one to plug in a 3.5mm mini-jack so I can play audio from my PHONE or other AUXillary input! I have messaged NO END of REVIEWERS and NONE of THEM EVER mentioned that this little beauty ALREADY HAS THAT FEATURE!!!!!! THANKS MAN! YOU THE BEST AND YOU PROBABLY DID NOT KNOW IT. My GF Loves your Dimples.. Do you play the Trumpet too?!
I use a Zoom A1X Four multi effect processor - also for eBass headphone playing. Plus I use its other features like looper. Very easy to controll the various functions. We (me and wife) use the processor / pedal also for several other (acoustic) Instruments and mic. Found out that I do not need a tiny and difficult to handle separate device like the Vox.
Great demo! Awesome! the "aux in" I use to play my own beats from my smartphone... Will also connect it to my Zoom 60b since the Zoom will not play thru headphones direct...
Dude, thanks a ton. I though my amplug2 broke, as I could not find the mentronome. Looks like the tone/effect/rhythm change wasn't described in detail in the 'manual'.
Nick DeMayo hey im a beginner bassist and have just bought my 1st bass. However i don't have an amp. Do you think i should invest in this? As im on a tight budget, id prefer cheap options
@@applepeel1662 I'm a learning guitar player stumbled on here by accident. If you haven't got one it's a MUST. I have the guitar AC30 model. You can practice anywhere on the go and at anytime with headphones in only you can hear what's going on. Also huge benefit is you pump up the volume and tone and even feed in your own jam tracks through the auxiliary in Port. I play along with songs on UA-cam and tutorials. Happy playing.
Just got mine this weekend. Very cool piece of gear. My Fender J bass sounds killer running headphones through the vox. Now I just got to get my chops to where I can jam like you!
yep its still in my gig bag at all times. never had a problem with is cutting out or anything. best 40 dollars ive spent aside from elixir strings every once in a while
LMAO Burn Notice! That's a great show man! But yeah, I've been playing guitar for 11.5 years. Bought my first bass from Sweetwater back in February of this year and have been playing it for practice out of my Fender guitar amp which sounds okay, but a little muddy. Since this little device is made by a well known brand at such an affordable price, I can't pass this up.
Interesting choice / color of strings!!! lol Hey man! Hope all is well! I just got the M7 Ash so I gotta get busy on the videos! I wanna be like you when I grow up!!!
Great review man! I was already thinking about buying it, but you've convinced me lol great bass playind, btw man! I'd love to see you try Metal. you'd surely pull it off :)
this unit is everything he says it is-the only problem i had with it is it was its durability. It's plastic. My bass has a bottom input jack and i completely destroyed 2 of them when i left it plugged in on one and put it down on my sofa. the jack hit the side of my sofa and snapped apart! the other one was a similar accident... my third one i am super mindful of when i put the guitar down i unplug it or move to sit back i watch what i am doing. other than that it's worth every penny.
Thank you kindly for the cool review It's nice to know it can hook up to a blue tooth speaker or phone I think you did an amazing job showed all the beats too :). Only thing I was curious about is the auto shut off function can you override that?
Great review. I have the same and the ton is great, but the only issue is that has some load noise without if the volume being on. Any one has the same issue? I got another replacement but they all seem the same.
So the only addition on this bass version is that it got drums? So what if I buy the "clean" one, it won't have the drums, but it will have reverb and such, but would the bass slap as good as it does on the bass version?
2021 and still delivering! Thanks for your review. I'm not even a bass player and you've convinced me to pick one of these up.
This vid delivered what I came out looking for. Thanks!
Jetson White sweet... happy playing

Right on dude, good review. I appreciate the real review, crap cable and all. First one I've found that shows all the rhythms included.
I've ordered one because of this review. I'm pumped.
How was it Simon?
I have the bass Vox and a Guitar Vox. Great stuff. The bass Vox has lasted me years already
Great presentation with no BS. Thank you!
"Live to bass another day". Love it! :D
That was awesome that groove!
Your a sick bass player, I’m sold!
Good job. The only review which explains correctly the use of embedded drum machine included in that cool little device.
great demo! i’ve used mine for years to practice before gigs in hotel rooms, I had know idea it had a metronome, so awesome!

Great Review man, this is the tenth one I've been watching and you're the only one showing how to switch from one pattern to another! Thanks!

Those strings look cool 😎
Not too bad for being in a hotel room. I'm diggin the gadget. gonna get one.
Man I’ve had that thing for years and I didn’t know about the power button and rhythm button combo giving you access to more beats 😮😮😮 bout to get out bed and try this😂
I got one last week. They are great. No need for a metronome.
You’re such a likable guy. Great review, thanks!
Derek Glowacki thank u
I love mine. I watched this to fall back into this killer micro amp.
I LOVE THESE STRINGS MAN
This was a great demo! Thanks dude!
I like the fact you can also plug it into your phone provided your phone still has a headphone jack and jam that way too
Thank you for a clear and entertaining review. I hope your wife still enjoys you having it! 😊

How much did that cost you... because this thing cost me 39 dollars at the time. So it was perfect for my travel needs at the time
Great demo! Awesome! the "aux in" I use to play my own beats from my smartphone... Will also connect it to my Zoom 60b since the Zoom will not play thru headphones direct...
I came for the amp... but fell in love with that bass
Man what a cool string is this
I got one. Best invention ever!
Excellent demo! Thank you!
Dude, thanks a ton. I though my amplug2 broke, as I could not find the mentronome. Looks like the tone/effect/rhythm change wasn't described in detail in the 'manual'.
That is super helpful. I’m buying one now. Thanks for posting this!
I just got one for Christmas after seeing your demo. What a great tool for silent practicing. Thanks!

Great review! Thanks for making this video.
I think its a bad ass little device. I wish it was a little smaller. I was the same. I tried it out of the box and ended up playing for 30 minutes.
hello. After watching your video I decided to get one. I'm super happy. Thanks.
Funny review and nice groove!!
Interesting choice / color of strings!!! lol
Hey man! Hope all is well! I just got the M7 Ash so I gotta get busy on the videos! I wanna be like you when I grow up!!!

Ha i own this unit for more than a year now , just to discover that there are more than 3 rhythms inside :o
Thank you
Ooooo shit the spitting image of Michael Clarke Duncan. Daaaammmn
Dude! Solid review.

Thank you kindly for the cool review It's nice to know it can hook up to a blue tooth speaker or phone I think you did an amazing job showed all the beats too :). Only thing I was curious about is the auto shut off function can you override that?
that i do not know... you might be able to pull up a manual online. And Thank you i appreciate you watching.
It only shuts off when you are not playing through it
Broo You play exelent that little divice is the súper cool shout out fom México city
Its nice your bass strings and the neck with designs. Could you detail?
Awesome informative video thanks man!
I’m pretty sure you could plug the bass into your speaker, which is amplified, without the Vox unit. Eh? Worked good for the demo though.
Nice I'm going to get for my 🎸 thanks brother got bless you ,🙏🙏🙏
Great review. I have the same and the ton is great, but the only issue is that has some load noise without if the volume being on. Any one has the same issue? I got another replacement but they all seem the same.
They all seem to have a hiss. I recommend using high treble/ low bass settings on whichever speaker you have if possible.
And why not buy something only little more expensive but with almost infinite sound possibilities like the zoom g1 four?
Nice!
So the only addition on this bass version is that it got drums? So what if I buy the "clean" one, it won't have the drums, but it will have reverb and such, but would the bass slap as good as it does on the bass version?
Nice review bro you sold me on it..I have double active pickups and play a 6 string in your opinion will I get a lot of distortion through it?
Chris Bassartist no the bass I was playing is an 18v Marcus miller m3 and you heard it. sounds great to me...
7:17 oooo yee
What is a good speaker for this? The actual cabinet kinda sound not very satisfying.
what wire do did you use to transfer the sound from the amplug to the speaker?
Cool.
Nice job is there a wire that I need I have the ac30 and mine does not work. What do you think I should do.
I dont understand what wire... an aux cord?
GREEN STRINGS !?!?!?!?
COOL!
DO THEY GLOW IN THE DARK ???
nope just in black light
