- The Yamaha Electone STAGEA comes from Japan so you need to use a power step down transformer to use a 100V Japanese device with 120V power in the US.
This model is considered a portable model so it is lightweight and easy to assemble.

The speaker needs converter so I just bought it by Amazon.
(PowerBright 500 Watts Japanese Voltage Transformers about $35)
The Electone price 554,000 yen but need shipping which was 180,000 Yen for us and when it arrive, you need (I don’t know in Canada) but 5.4 percent customs fee about $300 here in US.

Yes, you can change Japanese to English. ELC-02 English booklet will come when you order, too.
It’s so nice you can play the piano and flute.
Taro has some online teachers recommendations on his site if you need.
You can also find score books from Amazon Japan, too.

Hence after the ELC-02 arrived from Japan, setup the electone, connect the speakers with the converter, and once turn on the electone, just change from Japanese to English. And the electone is good to play !! .. I am just wondering if you interested to give some beginner's lessons :) ...just wondering ..thank you for all the info Tomoko ...

I always thought that Japan and the USA are both 110 Volts.

The voltage is slightly different between Japan and the USA.
100 in Japan and 110~120 in USA.
Many appliances can be used without adapter but certain electronic items like the Electone are very sensitive and my speakers are from Japan (100) so I got an adapter separately (square one with the orange light in the video near the plugs) to step down the US voltage to 100.
