- The video depicts a hijacker (protagonist of my story) broadcasting footage of a world where everyone has suddenly disappeared from the Backrooms Incident, the signal is cut before the evidence is fully revealed to the public.

the main reason we see fear and nostalgia as we look at the pictures, is simply because of our past experiences, and our confusion with these environments, we go to a store almost every week, but we don't normally see it secluded and empty, because everything is built with a purpose. to not be empty, a house, a church, the mall their not supposed to be empty. they simply weren't built for emptiness. and we all know that. that's why we get the feeling as if humans left behind our aging world to leave it as a surface of ruins of our past.

Every time I see this images I always try to see if something moves or if I can see a figure of someone, no matter how if the title says otherwise. While that can be good, it could also be very scary in the right context.

Bro, this made me tear up so much my bedsheets were like an ocean. It reminded me of a story of a kid who committed suicide because of high school bullying. I imagine these words being the final conversation between the parents and the kid, with the "don't blame yourself" and the "ill say goodbye soon". This stuff really brings the waterworks

The fact that this song is horror and depression mixed… It makes me feel like I’m the last one to perish to the hot sun, and my brain is reminding me of past memories I forgot. The Target, it’s Black Friday controversy’s, the office, what it could be, the abandoned janitorial hallway, the cabin. What are they? Why do I just now remember them? It’s really sad to think that future generations may see this as their last video before they die. It’s additionally depressing that I have a story to all of these images.

You found some comfort with music, since you had your phone and ear buds on you when you no-clipped. But it's long since died. You try to comfort yourself by singing songs, though you can't recall most of the lyrics or even the sound of the melodies anymore. You wander aimlessly, endlessly, and all alone. If you could just hear the chorus of your favorite song, one more time.

Then as your sanity drops, you hallucinate, People, you Cry in happiness thinking You finally found someone, as you get closer, it becomes more vague, by the time you reach them you pass out and become infected by the mold, realizing you spent so long here, you dont resist the infection, you accept your fate and close your eyes..

All of humanity has been long gone, but still. You refuse to leave, you haven't seen a human in so long. You found your old video camera from circa 1993, you look at the old tapes in your vhs player. Times were happier back then, but now theres no one. You decided you would record a video for maybe someone just anyone else out there who managed to live to come across, you recorded the abandoned malls, the abandoned target, and yet you didn't feel alone.
Edit: I just came back to this video so I feel like making like a prequel or something idk
It was a late summer night in 5019, you listened to the bombs crashing outside as the world waged war. Lets skip forward to see what the future holds. Shall we? In mid december you woke up from a nap with sirens blaring and your tv reading a note that says "WE ALL MUST EVACUATE. THE WORLD WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE NEVONIDAH SYSTEM IN 48 HOURS". You were shocked but thought it was maybe a part of a show or maybe it was just a hijacked channel. So you got up got your gas mask and went outside, there were endless empty cars where people used to sit. You went to target to get more food and some drinks and inside it was empty, as if you were placed into the backrooms. But you got your food and drinks then went home.
DAY 59
I dont know what happened but its been 59 days, how do I know this? Ive been keeping tallys on my bedroom wall with a pencil. I found an old video camera of mine and i got extra fuel. Maybe I can survive til next year so I can try to find out what happened to everyone.
Day 101
Its been a while hasnt it? Well. Earlier I thought I saw someone. I thought they saw me, I called out and it ran. I feel like I am not alone, I recently went to an arcade built around the 80s Y'know just to kill time. I think I found out what happened to the others, earth was majorly polluted. I still have my phone and everything still works so there has to be some other intelligent being out there. Just maybe.
Day ????????
I lost count of how many days were gone by. The sky has became pitch black and the only type of light being that of my phone. The wifi is still up and electric is still good just my contacts were wiped and every social media i try to open blocks me out. Ive been hallucinating and trying to stay awake because now I know I am not alone. There are others but they aren't what they seem.
Day 3301
Today was just like other days, check my phone, shower, brush my hair, brush my teeth. I laughed at myself in the mirror "the world is ended but i still try to save my hygiene" after I was done making sure i look decent i put my gas mask on, got my pocket knife, and left. To where? Im not sure. But yesterday i got a message on my phone screen with a location and a messags saying 'find the cicada'. So i guess im going to this place which is most likely a geocatcher thing. Ive heard stories from my grandpa about cicada 3301 on the internet back when he was live. There was a statue a few cities away that had been totally destroyed in the peacemaking war many months ago, there were rumors of the cicada memorial statue being one of the only things that survived in the rubble. So i guess thats where im heading.
Edit: i may put this on watpad and i may continue writing it there but i will put updates to the story here if im allowed to
Day 3302
After a few hours I pushed myself on, i was at the statue now. i found someone else but they had attacked me and said 'THE TIME OF THE DAY HAS DONE. FEAR THE NIGHT'. So you could guess how I felt but what do you expect from from an abandoned city in Nevada? (Continuing the story on my wattpad R3dRumCitrus)

Imagine you are running from something in the first floor, this tall, lanky monster is madly dashing after you, eyes full of hunger, its former human face twisted in a grin. Then this music starts playing. The monster stops, looking up in a certain direction, little do you know all monsters of the backrooms that day look towards the same thing. You might not see it but the sun itself is giving out, with one last blast it scorches the earth, humanity, technology, nature... every concept we know has been destroyed in seconds. There was nothing anyone could have done... the monster falls on its knees, boney fingers covering his face as he shouts in anger at seeing its former world taken so quickly. The only hope of anything to live on is now this forsaken place... the backrooms of reality.

This perfectly fits the character I’m writing, a cryptid inspired by eas alarm broadcasts, liminal spaces, and just the general loneliness that is there life, but this also resonated with me in another way, this gives off a feeling that no one can possibly feel and yet we know it all to well, the feeling of waking up in the morning and there’s no noise but the buzzing of the air or the pipes, or just the house settling, you fear everyone is gone, as the dread sets it, you walk through your empty home, no one is there, and you think, did the world end without me?
these places are not meant to be empty, they were made to be lived in, but when they are left alone, it just feels like everything ended without you
This video just gives off the feeling of being near death and feeling that everything will be fading soon, reliving your past and watching the world around you, watching people come and go, witnessing loved ones pass away while you remain alone, holding on to some sliver of hope, perhaps even a delusion, that one day you will be reborn into this world. Saying Goodbye, but hoping this isn't forever. Hoping one day this will happen again and your life will be relived to the fullest extent. Seeing how you didn't appreciate the things in life, and looking back, realizing it's all you ever wanted, it's your home. It's a depressing concept really, but it almost feels... peaceful. Just letting go of everything.

This song is beautiful in the way of it telling the story of a person content with death. They know that there is no hope, but this hopelessness is what gives them comfort. There is no use in fighting to survive anymore, for this is your destiny. I interpret this song as some sort of divine being talking to a person who is about to die, and it just gives the song a whole new meaning, especially when we are talking about the backrooms, a place with endless fear and a constant fight for survival.

ill set the scene:
Standing in front of a large fire exit, its door wide open, with white light pouring out of it.
You made it! But something still clings on to your mind.
The friend you first came here with. . . This was suppose to be a moment you both shared, but only you stand here.
Just for a moment, you close your eyes and remember the final memories of you and your friend traversing these halls.
You cant give in just yet. . . Even if they lost there life to these rooms they did it with the interest of keeping you alive.
You can still hear there voice and the stupid song they used to sing while in some of the more worse situations.
A part of you wants to stay, even for a bit longer, just to reflect more on why your here and why they did what they did.
But you know that you cant waste time, your goal, Their goal. . . Was to get out of here. But plans change and it seems you managed to achieve yours.
With the last of your sanity you brace forward and enter the fire exit door. For just a moment everything goes white, and just as fast as the white came it was gone just like that. You made it.

I saw the trailer looks like a awesome post apocalyptic film I'm going to give it a watch, in the trailer someone says "The world is like a blank page" which kinda reflects the blankness of the places in the world in my video where every living thing has suddenly been away into the vlid of the backrooms and all that remains on earth is the footprint of humanity.

I can imagine someone has found a small phone in the backrooms and this broadcast starts playing. Eventually the wanderer sings along and tears up. He passes out on the floor and he wakes up back at home. Everyone was there. Everyone was out. It wasn't a dream. But that broadcast had saved them in what was thought to be their final moments.
You know this reminds me a lot. I just feel memory's come back to me to when I was little, when I saw some pictures I recognized them from a time that was beautiful and perfect :( Goodbye World

I played this song in my head during graduation yesterday and I was about to cry because I'll miss the many friends that I have made. Then I just played that song a couple of minutes ago today, and I had a breakdown. I really really missed everyone that I met.

The world had ended. Everyone was gone, you was the last human in the entire world. It has been months, weeks, perhaps years since you last saw another person. You decide to go through an old box from your childhood days and find your old Sony Walkman with a few tapes left behind. You tear up remembering the good old days where you wasn’t the last one alive. You decide it was time. You get ready to leave your home one final time. You find your dad’s old revolver that still had a bullet left in it from god knows how long. You plug it in the headphones and take a walk through the desolate streets, taking in the air and scenery one final time. Walking around your town listing to your favourite songs from years ago. Walking through the streets, revolver tucked in the pocket, the Walkman in the other felt weird, you knew it was time to see everyone you loved dearly again. As you walk you pass a peaceful duck pond which used to hold many ducks and goose that once swam across the surface in stride. You turn off the pavement and head down the trail with the music still blasting but loud enough to hear the peacefulness of the summer air. You find an old bench that looked, still in good condition. You sit on it and look at the pond as the water waves ripple in the breeze. You relax for a while taking in the calm air and scenery as the music continued to play.
A while later. The Walkman is on the final track of the Cassette. You then decide, it was time to say goodbye. You grab the revolver still inside your pocket and bring it out, still sat on the bench you prepare the gun for its final blow before it also falls into a eternal rest. You take one final look at the calm area as tears roll down your face remembering all the good times you had before isolation. You aim the gun to your head and press the tip against the forehead and put your finger on the trigger. You silently hum the final chorus on the last track before pulling the trigger. A loud echo roars through the empty park as the gun lands on your lap. The bullet landing not too far away into the dirt. Your body slumps backwards on the bench as final movements before never moving again. The Walkman finishes the track and begins rewinding back to the start as your now lifeless body stares up at the clear blue sky with the sun shining so brightly like it always did. You were finally free from isolation, your body now lays still in an eternal rest along with the gun that now contained no more bullets. The Walkman finishes rewinding as the cassette half pops out before powering off. Leaving nothing but the calm, gentle breeze from the sky as your lifeless body lays motionless on the bench. You was finally free…

I like the Ending although its very scary to me because of the sound, which is surprising because normally im not spooked that easily. It feels like something happened and you, well, died...maybe? Like you were never meant to be in that place and something was watching over you. then your time ran out and it ended. sounds far-fetched i know.

This video inflicts nostalgia and fear in us because these spaces we are seeing are liminal in a way that we just don't understand and it triggers a reaction in our minds that makes us think of past memories in liminal spaces like these.
I have a theory, my theory is that the man/woman who created this tape has suffered depression and killed himself because the pressure was too big for him/her

The person filming actually finds a way to noclip into the backrooms and back to the earth's surface which is ***almost*** devoid of people (because most of the earth population is trapped in the backrooms) and documents the backrooms with his VHS camcorder which are all recorded on one video tape. Although after an attempt of noclipping, he does not return, and his footage is found many years later. These tapes help explain the mass disappearance of 90% of the earth's population in January 22 2004.

The sound evokes emotions that are identical to a liminal space.
Its extremely hard to find music that evokes emotions of liminal spaces. Although I do know that all liminal space like music have some sort of comforting yet unnerving vibe.
What is the music I want to know
this song makes me think of everyone I love dying. I mean, we don’t know anything certain for the afterlife. I could never see them again, never share those memories. Never laugh together or share secrets with them or eat with them again, because they’re gone, probably forever. One day I and everyone I know and you and everyone you know won’t be a memory. One day our whole being will be thought of for the last time, and that’s probably not that far away. I don’t even know my great grandparents names. They faded from memory that fast, and it’s likely I will as well. We will all die, and there is nothing we can do about it.

1 you can noclip at anytime but there's some places where you can noclip with higher chances, for example places similiar to those liminal spaces.
2 well you can actually get out of here but its quite impossible, these liminal spaces are divided in levels, theres some levels where if you do a certian task or found a certian place, you can go back ro reality

Liminal space, one of the ways the world works is how we see our old childhood places, and our older fears gone however when we see these it gives us new fears.
Also good use of Goodbye to a World by Porter Robinson, this proves that the backrooms can be (and or were) destroyed for good.

One time, in our local town center, I got the “liminal” feeling. It was a nice day, but there in the town center, shops were closed and there was fewer people than usual. This is when i took pictures of the places where my interest led me to in the town center.
I have posted 2 YT shorts showing 2 of these pictures. The thing is, they are UNLISTED so I will only put them on public if i feel safe enough to do that.

it reminds me of when I slept with my grandparents as a child, I miss that atmosphere so much, the backrooms are the only way to remind me of that house, the walls looked a lot like the backrooms..
