Very late, but as someone who has played a ton of rex. Best thing to do against pachy's or now also latens. Is to put yourself in deeper water. Their little legs cant reach and if they jump in and miss, they cant get out of wster faster than you can turn.
My friend and I where literally playing as pachies and causing chaos to Isla nycta, i love how this video summed up what we did, love the work out into this :D
