Congrats on your success love watching you guys. I’ve got a 100’ tunnel and a 9 bay self serve. I do what you guys are doing every day but I still like watching lol
I stumbled across this by accident and does this site bring back memories for me. My family owned a series of carwashes in the northern part of your state and everything you have filmed we had to deal with as well. My deepest regents to the damage done to your business.
Hey, I've been loving your videos even though I have no plans on opening a car wash. It's just entertaining watching you do your work. I have a great suggestion for all the trash that scattered all over your vacuuming area. Get a Leaf blower, blow all the trash into a corner or pile, and sweep up the pile. Also great for blowing dirt and dust away. Makes cleaning up trash easy and fast.
Advice: try moving the vending machine on the opposite side. So after the customer cleans their vehicle they will see the machine while they clean the interior. Good video ! 👍
Thank you for a great video. It was good to see a mix of happenings, other than a cash collection. However, I was beginning to wonder if I was watching a modern day sketch of Laurel & Hardy, especially when you were trying to move that vending machine and when you were changing the nozzle. 🤣 keep up the good work and the very entertaining videos 👍
Can you get those metal mesh cages that encase the machines? They have slots for the buttons and the drop spot. Look into it. I've seen them on some and the machines are still in great shape. Good luck!
I ran a micro vending operation for a bit. I'm sure you can find a vending mechanic local that will put that beast back together without much horror to your pocketbook.
We have tip protectors on all guns and a breakaway between wand and gun . We had 6;guns on the ready because it only takes 15 seconds to swap out sometimes it’s so busy no time to stop.
In the UK our jet wash lances don't dispense any water unless you are holding the trigger, is that not an option for you for people who don't switch off the water when they're done early?
I have seen a lot of new car washes in Victoria Melbourne have the whole vending machine inserted into the wall of the car wash leaving only the front of the vending machine exposed and then with a thick wired mesh cage around the front of it, it stops the vending machine for getting smashed up and broken into.
You need a venting machine bays where it have bars for the doors which is locked at all time but bars wide enough for people to access the coin slots, the selection buttons and vend chute door.
Not that it matters but those signs on the towel machines should say "quarters", not "quarter's" - the apostrophe isn't needed. I believe you have an extra apostrophe in "token's" as well. Not trying to be a dink or anything but you mentioned first impressions so just trying to help out. All the best! Great video as always.
You have to get a welder to create a cage for the Machine. It has to have slots to push the buttons and where to get the drink. That will eliminate that problem.
Make a Cage area for the vending machine. Also a rolling magnenent is nice to have to pick up those screws and nails. Nothing worse than getting a flat trying to keep a clean vehicle.
Just found you, looking at purchasing a coin carwash and currently own a laundromat. Enjoy you guys going through your day to day operations. a few ideas for you guys that i currently do at my laundromat. 1. your outside vending machine maybe have a cage built to protect it. I'm in Los Angeles and i see alot of vending machines this way. 2. use a smart home window sensor inside your vending machine doors to notify you and sound a siren at your location to scare people off. Depending on the system you like, Aqara or Yolink are good cheap sensors. I use them on my coin boxes and bill machines. If nothing else you will at least know when the damage was done.
I would fix the plexi and then weld heavy duty grate on the door frame over the plexiglass. As a cheap fix. If they get that then put a cage around it.
Guys, great video!!! This suggestion may not be what you want to do, but with all the jealous peeps in the world, maybe put a cage around your machines. Just a thought.
get a good sized leaf blower to clean the parking lots with . blow the trash and crap to one area and then sweep it up. no need to push broom the entire parking lots.
Change the plexi glass facia with metal plates and re-bars welded at back, it will take the beating of haters but will not break and some dents can be easily hammered from back. Never lose hope, no matter how hard you get the hit, bounce back with more force (in this case better strategy)😊. Keep it up.
one little advice from a mechatronic engineer put a stainless steel plate right behind the Plexi Glass panel of your vending then they cannot damage it to the electrics

You know what's weird - your type of car wash literally does not exist in the UK. I reckon there's a gap in the market - but land is tight and expensive which is possibly why they don't exist.

Probably some drunk a**holes who were angry about getting kicked out of a nearby bar. We used to get that a couple times a month at a place I used to work, you could tell which bartender was working the night before when we came in to open the next morning. Good tip to people looking to start a business: never own a business within a couple blocks of a bar if you don't have shutters to keep things from getting smashed.
@@CarWashChronicles maybe there's a valve you can get that recirculates to stop water loss. A saving there would be significant assuming your water is as expensive as ours in Australia.
Weep pumps help with the back pressure on the pumps, plus in cold weather climates you need them to weep the system when it's below freezing (not a problem for Chris, but in Illinois, where I am, for sure)
