I spent every summer of my childhood in Treasure Cay. We sailed over from Miami and cruised around Grand Bahama, Exuma, Nassau, the Out Islands, and of course the Abacos... but spent at least a month in TC. It's decades later and I want to go back. Thank you for the update. And the Tipsy Seagull shoutout.
I love hearing from other people who have had similar experiences to what I have had. TC is a special place and will be back and better than ever! The Tipsy Seagull was my favorite bar in the world so it better come back!
Thanks for the updates. Next time you visit, can you please take us on a tour of TC? I’d like to see the shopping strip with the grocery store, bakery, golf cart rentals, bike rentals, etc. I’m curious to see if some of the restaurants are back up. Obviously, The Spinnaker is not, but what about Touch of Class? What about the beach bar (can’t remember the name, Coco’s?)? We always stay at Bahama Beach Club when we go. Our last trip was in May of 2019 before Dorian. The devastation broke our hearts! We are wanting to come back. My husband is an avid Bone fisherman.
Thank you for reaching out! I am actually headed over there in a couple of weeks and will go ahead and do that! I meant to do something similar over New Years, but got consumed in my trip and never got to it. The only restaurants currently open on the island are the BBC restaurant and Flo's Bakery. The Tipsy, Coco's Beach Bar, and The Spinnaker all are part of the resort and marina properties so are owned by the same owner. Until the resort and marina sell, nothing will sadly happen to those. All three of those are sadly still leveled. We are very good family friends with the family who owned Touch of Class and the restaurant is done for good. Please reach out next time yall head over there and if I am around we will have to meet up!
@@NickOlinde Thank you! As usual, we would be flying in,so unable to load a lot in our luggage. Is the general store you speak of the one next to the liquor store? Can you purchase vegetables and meat? Just wondering how far we would need to travel to buy food for meals.
It is not the one next to the old liquor store. That was Golden Harvest. That entire strip mall is completely gone. The strip where Flo’s bakery is is the only one left. They have a small liquor store there right now as well as the same general store that has always been there. They have a limited selection of veggies and I do not know about meat. I believe they have a small grocery store up on the corner right outside the Treasure Cay limits, though. Where the conch man used to be and where Spankys liquor used to be. When are you headed over? I may be able to help y’all a little bit.
@@NickOlinde Many many thanks!! We have no immediate plans but used to go regularly between February and April. We have wanted to return, but lack of food to purchase has kept us away. Really appreciate your updates!
I am still waiting on any confirmation. I have two main sources I get my information from and one of them is DEEPLY involved with it all. I have been hearing swim conflicting stories/reports now so I am now choosing to not post anything additional on Treasure until I get some hard facts.

Any updates are great. Thanks for posting. Had great memories from TC.
You and I both! There will be more to come
Thanks for the encouraging update. My wife and I were married in TC in 2007 and would like to return someday. Please keep us posted.
Absolutely! I am actually planning to get married in Treasure Cay also so we will share that! I have updates coming soon!
@@NickOlinde Super! We were married by Fr Rolle; who covered other churches in surrounding islands. Great people.

Any updates yet?
Thanks for the update.
No problem. Hopefully we have some news soon and I can update everyone more.
Is Treasure Sands open? Any othe restaurants besides BBC?
Treasure Sands is not open. Sadly the only places open on Treasure to get a bite are the BBC and Flo’s.
I understand that the marina and resort are not open, but is there a place to purchase groceries open?
Right now in the actual treasure cay limits, there is still the bakery, a liquor store, a general store for basic groceries, and BBC restaurant.
We just load the boat up with everything we need though so we don’t have to buy much over there.
