I love that GB studio has really helped open the doors for so many cool hombrew developed games for Game Boy. I'm a sucker for futuristic racers, so I'm gonna check out G Zero it seems pretty cool so far.
Love to see so many new games together 🙂 Thanks for showing some of my releases as well! I can also say I am currently working on physical releases for some games on the list!
I've just found you and I'm actually confused on why you don't have more subscribers. You have good editing, good cinematography and an epic collection to use as props. Niche market for your videos with a lot of competition I guess. I don't really have any advice but all I can say is keep it up! One day you'll blow up if you continue making quality!
Thanks! I wonder that too honestly.. I’ve been making videos on this channel for over 15 years at this point and it’s never taken off… how much longer will it take? Luckily I enjoy making them else I would have given up a long time ago :(
4:40 I'm almost certain Color Lines DX is based on an 2000s pc game, but I can't remember the name. It's not Noahs Ark, but iirc it was something by Popcap or Bigfish Games.. 🤔
GBVR: Virtual Trader is pretty good. Simple as walking around a looping vaporwavey world trading objects with vaporwavey characters and trying to see how few moves you can successfully trade everything in
@@RetroBreak I can tell its on the top of your list lately haha. And I'm all for it! Giz a shout when dangan gb is available again psychically please ;)
Oh hey, spent a bit of time playing through G-Zero after popping it on a cart the other day haha. Took a bit for me to get to grips with buuut I'm a big fan of F-Zero so enjoyed meself..
Ah, aaand there's a similarly named MegaDrive/Genesis homebrew from years back that was a F-Zero-like but running without Mode-7. Was also pretty impressive and worth a go too.
@@RetroBreak I've had Pine Creek ages, but it's the original non colour one with different graphics and that was and is amazing, I love the train journey animation to Apricot City and the adult nature of it, some of it which it frankly hilarious, especially the Love Hotel room doors when you press on them.
Yeah, someone else pointed that out too, I’ve told the dev he’ll need to change it before the full release.. :/ black castle is awesome! Hope it gets picked up by a publisher soon!
Ooh, now you're asking. I really liked the look of black castle actually so I'll definitely give that a go but I am very biased to ONI, I thought that was great
So I’ve watched a few of your videos and am wondering if you could do a video on running Unix on a gba / sp, I’ve found a little bit of documentation I could send you but I don’t know what to make of it let alone replicate it for myself and as lazy as I may sound I’d find it really helpful if there was a video documenting it!
Great to see you here! I don’t mention it enough, but the chip tunes in these homebrews are amazing too! Great job with G-Zero! What other games have you done soundtracks for?
@@RetroBreak thanks! As for other games I've scored, I did the music for a GB Studio strategy game called Pilgrim's Peril, some unfinished projects including some of my own and right now I'm working on the music for another GBS game, not sure if I can say much more tho ;)
@@RetroBreak im currently working with KimKong on a GB demake of a popular old game. Can't say to much but if you want an advance copy let me know and we'll sort something out.
Some are neat, but I find it annoying as hell they'd make games for the black/white Gameboy instead of the Gameboy Color. GZero for example is such a waste not being in color
@@RetroBreak all the characters are edgy and swear just for the sake if it. There's this really weird communist Pokemon mini game. IFK didnt play much might get better

Yeah it’s great it’s opened up the GB to so many more developers! I need to try it myself sometime! :D
I had no idea there was a game boy home brew community. Thanks for bringing me in!!!
Love seeing homebrew content!! Homebrews are some of my favorite games for the Gameboy family, and I love being able to learn about new games :D
Glad you enjoyed learning about some more new GB games! I’m always amazed at the quality these devs are putting out!
Me too!
I am the dev of The First Project 😁 Thanks for the feedback pal !
Awesome! Thanks for making a cool game! I’m looking forward to playing more and getting into the story!

Awesome! Can’t wait to see what you release! Keep it up :)
5:43 - These are board colors, not the cartridge. They're all clear - only the board is different :D
These look pretty fun to play!
Always great to see how much the community is improving over time! So much good stuff coming out now!
8:50 Um, isn't that the box art to The Suffering?
Ooh good eye! Yeah it looks like the UK PS2 box art.. I’ll let him know he should probably change that! :/
@@RetroBreak Yeah, Warner Bros. own the rights to the game now and they can be quite litigious with copyright.
Ooh, Black Castle looks good. Oni too. Will definitely give them a try.
Nice selection of games, well done video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm so excited you talked about Pine Creek! It's been on my saved list for so long
I’ve been meaning to do a full review of it for a while! The script is finished I just need to record and edit it!
4:40 I'm almost certain Color Lines DX is based on an 2000s pc game, but I can't remember the name. It's not Noahs Ark, but iirc it was something by Popcap or Bigfish Games.. 🤔
Pine creek was pretty cool. I played that one through.
I’m looking forward to playing it more :D
The First Project has officially been published for wider distribution! It probably happened as you were reviewing the game
Yeah I saw it was official just as I was editing! I’ve included a link in the description :)
I'm excited to see new games coming out for legacy hardware.

Sounds interesting! I’ll check it out!
Thanks for supporting the homebrew scene with your great videos!
Thanks for making great games! :D
G-Zero now has a Cartridge Release! And my all time new favorite Game Boy game is Black Castle!
Loved seeing the other games up there. Nice video
Thank you for outlining these for us. You're doing the lords work :3 xoxo

the new gaming room looks mint.
Thanks! It’s changed more since this video too!
Uhm... isn't FLYING ARROW using some artwork from THE SUFFERING's boxart? loving the look of the games otherwise - especially black castle.

Black Castle looks very promising!
Probably my favourite of the bunch! :D gotta try and get past that boss!!
Black Castle looks to be the best for me. Will they be releasing another physical run?
I hope so, haven’t seen any announcements though…
It gets another release by Ferrante Crafts soon!

Can’t get it anywhere yet, but I think Ferrante Crafts is working on a new physical release soon! Keep an eye out :)
A cartridge is avalable now at Ferrante Crafts!
Wooh! These look good
Such great games!!
I wouldn’t seeing full reviews for all these 😊

I guess people have nostalgia for the original black and white Gameboy, plus it’s time consuming to program the colour
@@RetroBreak color is worth the time. Plus there's the extra RAM and CPU power.

Ohhh? In what way?
