As far as how visibly Jewish I want to be, it depends on where I am. I tend to hide my star of David necklace and pin with the Canadian and Israel flags when I'm on the bus or at work, I'll tuck the necklaces under my shirt and hide my pin under my name tag where it can't be seen, but if I'm out on a bike ride, at the store or at an open mic night, I'll wear my pin on my jacket and won't hide my star of David necklace. As an artist, I like to be loud and proud of Judaism.

I think Christians like me can help by speaking out when we see or hear Jew hatred and also educating ourselves so we can also educate others. Since 7th October I've made sure to refresh my knowledge of Islamic teachings (I had casually read the Quran previously) precisely for this purpose but before I simply used to looking into Holocaust denial.
The problem is not religion as such. It is that some people are intolerant of others' wish to belong to a belief system of their own choice. When one belief system results in success it makes the people of others, question theirs and they can't deal with it.

The Catholics did not have to do that to Jews in order to create a Christ. But that's what they CHOSE to do. It was plagiarism to begin with, by making their Bible out of 75% Jewish literature, and then villainizing the Jews in the New testament. The most egregious villainizing of the Jews came from the Qu'ran. Nobody can argue that. But the Catholic Church are the people who INVENTED antisemitism, and the Muslim faith only followed the Catholic lead by PERFECTING it. I don't think people put enough blame on the religious literature for causing the antisemitism that will always continue to exist as long as these books, which begin with plagiarism, and end with anti semitism are taken to task in what they've done to promote antisemitism, and make it last for thousands of years. But nobody will DO that. Diplomacy and Globalism prevents us from fixing what has caused antisemitism, which is Plagiarism, and bastardization of Jewish texts in order to villainize the Jews. One sad component is that although a Catholic will recognize a Baptist baptism as Christian, there are streams of Judaism among the observant, who refuse to accept the conversions of others. That creates DOWYA (Depends on Who You Ask). That is the very antithesis of unification of Jews. That, perhaps, should have been solved at some point in our existence. A life dedicated to Judaism, especially in the level of fight we are in now, is still dismissed by those in our midst.
Our super minority status makes us all the more vulnerable and I always thought we should be much more accepting of converts. If our religion is the true and authentic monotheistic religion, we should want to share it with others or at least encourage Noahidism which is a growing movement.

Do not conflate Israel with Jews around the world. Israel may be the only Jewish State, but many Israelis - and those serving in the IDF - are non-Jewish. That's why it's called "Israel Defence Force", and not "Jews Defence Force". A Jewish student in America, a Jewish musician in Canada and so on have no bearing on Israeli policy or actions. I thought you knew all about freedom of religion... 2. Nobody is "doing" anything to the Palestinians that they didn't start, want, and support in the first place. This is war. War is hell. Don't start one. This is NOT about "retribution", but about Israelis being able to return to their homes and live safely. The same in the North, where Hizballah constantly fires at Israeli civilians, since October 9th. Perhaps THEY too are being treated "inhumanely"? Did you know there are over 100000 Israelis who are refugees in their own country? Their houses ruined, their businesses gone, their kids don't go to school etc.? What about the hostages? I think Christians like me can help by speaking out when we see or hear Jew hatred and also educating ourselves so we can also educate others. Since 7th October I've made sure to refresh my knowledge of Islamic teachings (I had casually read the Quran previously) precisely for this purpose but before I simply used to looking into Holocaust denial.

One sad component is that although a Catholic will recognize a Baptist baptism as Christian, there are streams of Judaism among the observant, who refuse to accept the conversions of others. That creates DOWYA (Depends on Who You Ask). That is the very antithesis of unification of Jews. That, perhaps, should have been solved at some point in our existence. A life dedicated to Judaism, especially in the level of fight we are in now, is still dismissed by those in our midst.

Reading a comment like yours, I am always conflicted: should I bother? Usually I don't. However, you seem like a decent, ill-informed Westerner, so here goes:
1. Do not conflate Israel with Jews around the world. Israel may be the only Jewish State, but many Israelis - and those serving in the IDF - are non-Jewish. That's why it's called "Israel Defence Force", and not "Jews Defence Force". A Jewish student in America, a Jewish musician in Canada and so on have no bearing on Israeli policy or actions. I thought you knew all about freedom of religion...
2. Nobody is "doing" anything to the Palestinians that they didn't start, want, and support in the first place. This is war. War is hell. Don't start one.
This is NOT about "retribution", but about Israelis being able to return to their homes and live safely. The same in the North, where Hizballah constantly fires at Israeli civilians, since October 9th. Perhaps THEY too are being treated "inhumanely"? Did you know there are over 100000 Israelis who are refugees in their own country? Their houses ruined, their businesses gone, their kids don't go to school etc.? What about the hostages? Can you imagine the peaceful (and "humane") Canadians taking this with a smile?
3. Contrary to the blood libels your media outlets feed you with, IDF is fighting with pathetically restrained force, risking the Israeli soldiers, being constantly blamed for blood libels. Any other army, any other country, would have just flattened Gaza in less than a day from the air. Definitely not send troops on ground to fight with tweezers, trying to distinguish between combatants and "civilians":, when there isn't really any difference. I could elaborate on this, but you should really do some research on your own - not from social media.

The word "inhumane" in this context is the most repugnant accusation, since Israel has done what no other entity did throughout history: Israel has done everything, including deluding itself, to make peace with the murderers surrounding it. No other country has given up land for peace. No other country made crazy concessions like Israel. Gaza is a good example: Not only did Israel withdraw from the Gaza strip in 2005, leaving all infrastructure behind AND vacating the Jews from there by force(!), but it kept providing and enabling for the Palestinians - including work permits, medical treatment etc. Israelis believed, just like you, that if Palestinians are provided with money, good living conditions and shown respect and friendship, they will reciprocate. The joke, sadly, was on them. The Palestinians don't want any of that. They want one thing: the obliteration, annihilation and murder of every Israeli. They still support Hamas, they raise their children to be Shahidi, they joined the massacre gleefully and they are keeping hostages in their homes. Listen to what they say. Read what they write.
