I need all the LH help I can get. There is much info out there on RH improv and LH stylings. The issue is combing the various LH stylings all in the same piece.

should i be able to make up voicings on the spot? or are they usually rehearsed and figured out while learning the piece? obviously i can play basic root position and a inverted chords, i just don't know where to find alternative voicings and how to apply them

      Same, any updates?

@@readlwrm846 I've improved the last few months, I can say it's a combination of both. I learn all the voicings I can think of and learn to play the melody with each set of voicings, (inverted, 4 note, 3 note, rootless...) and if you practice them all the same amount it eventually comes out naturally.

@@readlwrm846 If it can help, these common left hand voicings are super useful and you'll use them constantly, i'll write them in C but to it in all keys:
      C7 (rootless): E, A, Bb, D (or inverted: Bb, D, E, A)
      C7altered (#9b13): E, Ab, Bb, Eb

Peter, could you show separately the rhythms you do with the left hand to make that swing .
I can hear as you play. Maybe I’ve missed some of your class...
Thank you so much for your videos.
