I couldn't stop watching.... Liked what was offered but really really wish there had been a little more... More context, more ending. I'm just not good with very subtle meanings, so now I'll be thinking about it till the cows comes home😮
I tend to like movies where I wind up thinking about them long after I'm done watching... most of the time. I will admit sometimes a movie just feels incomplete, like if they had just done a little bit more they might've had something really special (the new Wolf Man feels that way to me a bit). I'm bummed that you didn't enjoy this one more but I'm glad you gave it a chance and really glad that you came here to tell us your thoughts on it!
Not sure if this one will go on the to watch list but great review once again.
Ok you should really check out Dead of Night, a British anthology movie from Ealing Studios that if we were using pre 70's movies would be too of the list for the anthology sub genre. All the segments are strong and has a good wraparound story. You couldn't really compare it to say Creepshow as they are different in their tone, Creepshow is more EC comics, Dead of Night is more serious.
I do tend to like a good anthology movie...

It really was a good watch, tho. I would be down for another one where Donnie investigates another case (of course, the ending might make that a bit complicated...).

Hmm. Wonder why it never posted? I've seen some issues with the comments before, like being notified of comments but them never showing in the comment section. That didn't happen here, though. I see no comment from you.
It's probably tedious to repeat your thoughts on the movie but I would be curious to know what you thought of it. I figured maybe you'd at least have some love for Andrew Scott...
@HorrorMovieSyllabus I haven't seen the movie yet but I do love Andrew Scott so it's on my radar. I still am so mad bc I can't remember what all I said in my original comment except for a long empassioned plea for you to watch Dead of Night 🤣🤣🤣
