One of the most beautiful presentations on this very critical area I have ever heard. Having tried to use the essence of forgiveness in reaching others I realise how impotent I have been and only rest in the power of the Holy Spirit to correct my many errors. Thank you pastors Begg for such a great message.

There is hell to pay for sin. I suppose that's definitely one way to put it well

we do not keep short accounts with GOD. There are no accounts to keep. Confession acknowledges our sins ans brings them into the light. Repentance is a once for all event. We live in the light of this daily. As we walk in the light the blood of Christ cleanses from all unrighteousness. If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins ie the sin of not having any sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

Like the brother who was sold into slavery and years later they come humble requesting food and paying proper homage. Forgiveness is given and trust is built. For the arrogant and deceitful person. Forgiveness is given and trust is devastated, forgetting isn't given and accountability is demanded.

How can you forgive a person who continues to slander you, trying to take what you have as a living, and that all we have done seeking for reconciliation she takes it as our offering for accepting all she does ‘in exchange to her acceptance’. That,s not love.

The same way Joseph did. He said to his brothers who did something equally as bad as you describe..." you meant it for evil BUT GOD meant it for GOOD". Joseph had come to understand the PLAN. These things done to us aren't random and they aren't purposeless. THEY ARE INTENDED FOR GOOD in some way only God can bring about. It doesn't mean you should want them or refuse an escape if it is presented. But if you must endure them then you MUST embrace the LOVE GOD has who allows them for a very very good purpose.

I have been a similar situation. I have come to realize that we can forgive and go on. What I had to finally do was be completely honest with the person, set a boundary and trust God with the process! I continue to pray and have contact but limited.
