Glad you’re young to reach that bolt. Need three hands . Seems we have them here on our trucks but they are just for show. Glad you have a helper and future mechanic with you.👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I bet! Luckily most of my trucks over the years have already had one fitted. Apart from the transit van cost me £200 to supply, fit and wire it up at a towing centre about 8 ish years ago! 😅
Great vid. Do you find much play in the tow ball? I was worried the pins might have some lack in them and it would rattle around a but when fitted / after a few months of use? Figured I'd ask before I bought one.
I'm not sure I would have kept the NATO plate still on. With the adjustable plate better to have it as flat to the mount as possible. Could you not put the plate on the other side of the towing cross member with cable ties plastic or stainless- I'm presuming you're not likely to use a NATO connection?
Let me know how you get on with it, I had one on the Landrover and was brilliant, saved scrubbing tyres and trailer towed better as you’d expect…..but fitted one to my l200 and it levelled up my 7x4 clh but all the other trailers it’s making the truck nod and tamp, it’s made the ride worse than the tractor 😂 I wondered if it was due to the pickups being light on the back end?
Chris of CLH used to live next door to me… one of the most hardworking people I’ve ever come across!
He’s built up a very good business and their products are spot on 👍🏻

He’s becoming a great help! 😊❤️
Supervisor's keeping an eye on you!
Sure is!! 😄
At least the junior engineer is keeping an eye on you Gruff 😅
Making sure it’s perfect not just good enough 😂
Very good & detailed explanation. Thank you.
Thank you 😊
That's handy having all the hitch system fitted on the jeep.
My jeep came without any tow hitch
system, it was a nightmare fitting it to the chassis.

Well done Gruff, looks good👍
Thanks Chris 😊

It does rattle a bit but nothing to worry about. I’ve pulled a few loads over 3t and it’s fine 😊👍🏻
I see a lot of trucks with a big bend just above the hitch
Looks like you have an apprentice mechanic!
Sure do!! 😄

Not likely to use it at all but it’s all connected up to the truck. I thought best to leave it as is.

Not sure, I have only towed the big flat bed with it so far and tows it smoothly.
Will keep an eye how she tows the other trailers.
What thickness of steel is it made out of?
Cant remember but it must be a good 6mm maybe more
