The DOJ cops were awful in this episode. Just so bad. Buggs "We CAN'T go below 20MPH!" Cops "Alright, let's set up multiple roadblocks and ram the bus when it tries to pass!"
And I can’t believe the cops didn’t open those gates and keep them open, even with Buggs’ yells on the global chat to tell the cops to open the damn gates!
True the map is too small. I guess they would have to use a smaller plane and threaten to crash in a high populated area if the DOJ can't find a way to stop them.
This was awesome to watch and even nerve-racking at times. Good show. My suggestions though is to create 1 or more solutions for the police to resolve the issue rather than simply let whatever happens happens. Not sure what kind of solution could be available. Drop a bomb expert on the roof to try and disable the bomb? Use a cargo bob to lift it to out of danger's way? Even prep the dispatcher with some knowledge either before or during the scenario so that they can guide the police accordingly. Otherwise, this was great.
Nobody on PD has seen the movie... Of course it came out in '94 so I'm guessing there were officers on that pursuit that hadn't been born when the movie came out.
Jeff Favignano True, but I don't think speed has the same following as the star wars franchise so maybe it doesn't filter down as well. That being said I was really hoping they were going to get more creative with the situation. Maybe try to snipe polecat or something... Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos, Jeff. I really appreciate and enjoy your content.
*when you're streaming and you see jeff uploaded so you mention it out loud on stream and then look at the chat to see that Jeff is watching* Yeah... that happened
There's a back way into the airport. Through the fence, behind the autobody shop. Would've been cool to see them jump off of the over pass near there too, then into the airport! Still an epic DOJ!
One job? What, to allow the bus to enter the airport and drive around in circles until the gas ran out? LOL! I only wish the dispatcher had kept trying to comm with the bus for more info...
Gabe Nelson, he gave him enough info. He said about 4 times that if the bus dropped below 20 MPH, it would blow up. He also said he was a hostage, and the cops still tried blocking them.
Yeah I watched the video and know that, my point was what good was letting him into the airport going to do unless they were going to roleplay the exchange of passengers via another bus. The only criticism I see valid of the PD is they didn't maintain the line of communication (or attempt to anyway).
But then Buggs could have put a little more emphasis on that he couldn't go over 20 or under 20 or the bus would explode. He was just like, aaaah, no, that won't work, in his usual droning voice.
Why would they block the bus? So annoying... I was hoping Buggs would just say fuck it and stop next to a big group of police cars and have Polecat blow them all up.
The cops were trying to block traffic. At first glance it would seem like they were attempting to block Buggs, but they actually planned for Buggs to go on their right and then curve back in, but from Buggs perspective it looked like they were just blocking him, so he didn't know what to do. I had to watch Polecats perspective twice to figure that out.
Polecat should definitely have also been a rider. They could have claimed someone else did this. the cops didn't try to get anyone on board the bus, they didn't try getting anyone off the bus (to find out if they did they it would explode thanks to surveillance), etc.
Loved that the suggestion was finally put in motion but overall I think it could have been planned out a little better. I would have told one of the main cops in charge (Samson?) what was going on before hand so that without telling all the other cops he would know what's happening and be able to give the right orders. Also needed at least a couple more people on the bus to talk to 911. Good idea, not exactly executed to the fullest. :(
I personally think it was executed perfectly. One of the points of the criminal side of DOJ is to see how cops react to different scenarios, and that wouldn't be legit if the cops know what's coming. Besides, having something like this play out naturally is more fun (in my opinion) than having everything staged. I probably wouldn't want to watch a staged series. Not to mention, had the bus got into the airport, there's still nothing that could've been done. They would've drove until it ran out of gas.
My point was to tell ONE cop, only a top one in charge like Samson and he wouldn't tell anyone else. That way when the call comes in about the problem, he can let it play out but also give specific orders so that everything runs smoothly. We obviously wouldn't know that he knows and it would all work out better. As someone who wanted them to do this idea for a while, I feel a bit let down that it didn't go how I envisioned it would.
Whether one cop knows or they all know, that'd still be staging it, and I'm completely against that. That's not what DOJ (the series nor the community) is about, and I hope it never turns into that. The outcomes of DOJ episodes are almost always unpredictable, so expecting it to go any specific way is probably not the best idea. That's one of the reasons why the series is great. You never know what's going to happen next.
Eh, to each their own. If the cops would have actually watched the movie (seriously who hasn't?!?! LOL) then they would have known what was going on anyway. So would it still be staged to you then? Either way, I still think it could have been executed better. But they're in charge so I'm just blowing hot air.
It's only staged if it's pre-planned, thus the definition of "staged". If the officers had figured out that Speed was being re-enacted and decided to let them in the airport like the movie, that isn't staged, that's the scenario naturally playing itself out. It's all about how the officers react to things that they don't know are coming. DOJ is improv, not scripted.
If there was a court in this game, the judge would trash the LSPD in a wrongful death lawsuit. Not to mention negligent homicide and dereliction of duty.
What does being a cop have to do with the movie speed? Most of the little kids in DOJ weren't even a live in 1994. So they wouldn't know what the hell was going on. Not to mention they roleplay by the cops sucks.
I was thinking the same thing but in "Speed" wasn't the bomb close-wired to trip automatically when the bus dropped below a certain speed? If so and the that was the scenario here negotiating an offload of passengers would be the only option.
Ryan Duong Duong Polecat didn't mention anything like that or a deadman's switch type deal, just that he would manually detonate it. the sniper option could have worked
"the bus will explode if it goes under 20"
>cops logic 'explosions r cool'
Is like Dispatch never told the units involved that the bus would explode if they stopped it. Cause it seems that's all they were trying to do.
"Weazel News wants you to die. You kiddin me? Ratings, bro!" LMAO well I died 😂😂😂
The DOJ cops were awful in this episode. Just so bad.
Buggs "We CAN'T go below 20MPH!"
Cops "Alright, let's set up multiple roadblocks and ram the bus when it tries to pass!"
Jeff you should have put a Weazel News overlay on the video, lol
The cops were pissing me off😂
The reason they probably doesn't let them on the runway was because of possible terrorist reasoning. It's protocol.
^This. This needs to be top comment.
Love the helicopter perspective! Definitely had to watch from both bus and heli perspective on this one!
And I can’t believe the cops didn’t open those gates and keep them open, even with Buggs’ yells on the global chat to tell the cops to open the damn gates!
Because, I don't know about now, but back then, the cop players couldn't rp for shit..
Who else wishes he would upload 2 episodes of doj everyday?
me but that would be hard
You guys should do a hostage situation on a passenger plane
Michael Adams that would be cool but how would the doj handle it?
And the maps too small
True the map is too small. I guess they would have to use a smaller plane and threaten to crash in a high populated area if the DOJ can't find a way to stop them.
@7:39 - "... all these hundreds of people on board."
THERE IT IS.
This was awesome to watch and even nerve-racking at times. Good show.
My suggestions though is to create 1 or more solutions for the police to resolve the issue rather than simply let whatever happens happens. Not sure what kind of solution could be available. Even prep the dispatcher with some knowledge either before or during the scenario so that they can guide the police accordingly.
Otherwise, this was great.
Yeah they could have atleast gotten some for info on the situation they were so confused
The bus was so good on gas milage because it's a diesel and diesel's get great gas milage
Polecat enunciates the word "button" like no other person in America. I love it.
I take it Bob from Weazel News is still in jail after that chase a few months ago?
nope he is the pilot/anchor
Jeff Favignano another reason why I should've watched before assuming lol
24:19. Man.....that's gonna one hell of a story to tell when we passin' the blunt
"All you had to do was open the damn gate CJ!"
Sweet overhead shots on this case Jeff! Great flying too.
Video originally called "Weazel One"
Great video as always man.
Nobody on PD has seen the movie... Of course it came out in '94 so I'm guessing there were officers on that pursuit that hadn't been born when the movie came out.
+Paul Nelson that is like saying of course no one has seen the original Star Wars trio
Jeff Favignano True, but I don't think speed has the same following as the star wars franchise so maybe it doesn't filter down as well.
That being said I was really hoping they were going to get more creative with the situation. Maybe try to snipe polecat or something...

Yeah... that happened
hi
Howdy
hello
What do you want?
nothing
Loved watching this from the air. Keep up the great work.
it will be nice to hear the side of the office chat.
I’ve been waiting to find Jeff’s perspective, especially as I watched Buggs’ perspective, with the episode titled ‘Speed’ recently!
I have already seen this video, but I wanted to see that good coverage from Weazel News
Same
this was a full action movie good job jeff make alot of those vidios they are great
Love the new DOJ intro
I swear when this video came out it was not called the loop it was weasel one
I love the new intro by the way
LOVE THE MOVIE SPEED!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks For doing this Jeff!!!!
There's some good pictures shots Jeff nice flying.
There's a back way into the airport. Through the fence, behind the autobody shop. Would've been cool to see them jump off of the over pass near there too, then into the airport! Still an epic DOJ!
thought this was called "Weazel One"
the cops had one job. just one job and they fucked it up. god hasn't anyone know what the movie speed is
One job? What, to allow the bus to enter the airport and drive around in circles until the gas ran out? LOL! I only wish the dispatcher had kept trying to comm with the bus for more info...
Tyler Darmon I love that movie and the second one
get the bus into the airport, 1 shot from sniper
Gabe Nelson, he gave him enough info. He said about 4 times that if the bus dropped below 20 MPH, it would blow up. He also said he was a hostage, and the cops still tried blocking them.

The only criticism I see valid of the PD is they didn't maintain the line of communication (or attempt to anyway).
I guess none of those cops seen the movie
I thought it was Weazel Two
you guys need to do this again
We need another Speed 2 take... but the pilot has the trigger
I hope the cop players saw this and realized they fucked up. Even the cops in the movie speed figured it out pretty quick.
But then Buggs could have put a little more emphasis on that he couldn't go over 20 or under 20 or the bus would explode. He was just like, aaaah, no, that won't work, in his usual droning voice.
Omg, i just finished watching Bud video on Speed and then I found this video of the helicopter version of speed!
Hostage situation on a airplane next !?
How about a plane distribance since there's been a lot of that going around.
or like an emergency landing on the freeway or something
they did it, check earlier videos!
Jeff keep up the amazing flying
Was that somebody hanging from the candybox sign at 17:05?
Just a bit. I haven't noticed it before.
Jeff you should have opened the gate to continue the speed movie
Saw polecats view yesterday waiting for yours finally got it
this was yalls best video to date!
Anyone else have the urge to go watch Speed now? LOL
i watched the linked videos side by side looks sick :D
still watching the vid this must be really difficult for the cops
The idea was great, but what on earth were they thinking?! They had one job!
I love the DOJ intro! very creative
Cannot wait for the next LEO episode.
Would have been nice to have more phone calls with the police xD! But AWESOME VID MANNNN!
Usually when your doing news the heli is above the PD heli becuase when ever I'm watching persuits I always see a PD heli fly by the camera
+Fred The fish if I did that you wouldn't see anything
Jeff Favignano yeah I figured but I'm just saying for authenticity :)
Polecat calls a bus a van. LOL
polecat "get in the van get in the van." when they are getting in a bus... lol polecat logic. btw jeff love your videos so much keep it up!!!!
theelfboi A bus is just a long van
All they had to do, was open the damn gate CJ!!
Why would they block the bus? So annoying... I was hoping Buggs would just say fuck it and stop next to a big group of police cars and have Polecat blow them all up.

Loving the intro!
i love the intro lol like its in the second season
Like the new intro.
You guys should have went to Sandy Airport
Polecat should definitely have also been a rider. They could have claimed someone else did this. the cops didn't try to get anyone on board the bus, they didn't try getting anyone off the bus (to find out if they did they it would explode thanks to surveillance), etc.
lmao Buggs should've flied over that slope beside the gate
why did buggs not bail

Wasn't this video named something else like weasel something ??
Camofighter 1234 it was called Weasel 1
I love that intro "immoutathecaryeasshole!"
At least Jeff got the money shot ;)
Awesome job guys. Score one for Weasel news.
Love the movie speed, and how did they not get that! They are cops.
Holden Man and they are all under what age????... Prolly in diapers when the movie came out
I wasn't even born when this movie was made and I still have seen it like 10 times!
Isn't it ironic that I happen to turn this on while Speed is playing on my t.v. at the same time?! Couldn't ask for better timing lol.
Holden Man
Well it is doj plus they may not have seen it
What does being a cop have to do with the movie speed? Most of the little kids in DOJ weren't even a live in 1994. So they wouldn't know what the hell was going on. Not to mention they roleplay by the cops sucks.
They should have an Fire and EMS thing
Independent Nation DOJ does have a fire and Ems department
was the bus 90 or 85% full or 10 or 15% empty?:)👍
Civ is the best!!!!
we're the early squad at
Yo

I love DOJ Episodes

It was so cool when I got to watch the bus blow up on buggses veaw & on polcats veaw and on your veaw.
Veaw?
View*
Veaw
why was this video renamed?
Dat CHP chopper tho
I was waiting for a repeat of KNXV/KTVK's collisions in 2007 with all that blind flying and no communication.
We have about "9085%" of fuel left lol. Only buggs.
Love these videos
That was crazy loved it!
HELLO, BOB FROM WEASEL NEWS!
Assemble the sniper team.
I was thinking the same thing but in "Speed" wasn't the bomb close-wired to trip automatically when the bus dropped below a certain speed? If so and the that was the scenario here negotiating an offload of passengers would be the only option.
