No it's not, it's "Spider-Man". They tried giving him the "Kid Arachnid" name in one of the cartoons (Ultimate SM?) but it didn't stick. The problem is that Miles was known as "Spider-Man" for years in his own comic book universe where Peter had died and Miles took over the Spider-Man role. So by the time he moved over to the normal universe in the comics where Peter was still alive, he had already been called Spider-Man for so long it was impossible to rebrand him. So whenever Miles is adapted into a world where Peter is already Spider-Man, they have to call Miles "Spider-Man" also.
I kinda feel like the old Peter face (which I still like) is Peter within his own head, with all his flaws and failures magnified in a way that just makes him very... human. The new face is Peter through the eyes of someone who looks up to him, maybe even idolizes him a bit, with his flaws minimized if not eliminated, making him seem genuinely larger than life. Both are equally valid truths.
Pete listen to JJ's podcast because he follows the theory of "keep friends close, keep enemies closer". JJ makes Spiderman to be flawless everytime JJ points out a mistake, Peter avoids the mistake next time
