Heck yeah!! Maybe when I’m 80 I can go back and watch these back and live vicariously through them. Who am I kidding, I’m still going to be doing this 😂😂😂
This is one of your best shows in recent times. Y’all were having a blast and the camera caught every bit of it. Hopefully there is going to be more from y’all.
River fishing is my Joy as well my local love is the Alapaha River. Like you said it's constantly changing I've been fishing her 20+ years never gets old!
Chad, great videos, best on UA-cam....so much fun. I'm that guy, that bought heavy boats, slight disability. Golf is out....but top loading, never happening. Not giving up, got a trailer, added a hitch, adding power to the hitch (bumper) and I'm going fishing. Headed to Alabama in 2024. See you soon!

@@ChadHooverFishing hey Chad have you hit any of the small lakes in the Talledega National Forest yet?? Some of them have some great fishing with very little pressure on them.
Love it! Reminds me of some of my favorite streams here in Missouri. Can't believe it's July already and I've not had one single float. Shameful. All work and no play makes me a dull boy! Thanks for taking us along Chad!
nice day of fishing, went today after kemo sick as a dog lol. and it was a popR day. on the creek. then came the flash flood , not good on the little contentnia creek. had to get downstream before the toilet flushed to get to wider creek. 2hrs 3'' of rain. got wet lol
Never heard of the helgramite (excuse the spelling😅) til i started watching johns channel another guy you should hook up with is josh from bass and beer. He hammers big smallies on his channel and fishes with john and alex rudd alot. Great trip yall had on this day.
Now that's what fishing is all about. I so enjoyed this video. Chad, you looked like you were a your happy place. So good for the soul and mind. I have got to get my kayak out and do this. Just curious, when doing a river/creek float like this, when exiting the water, how do you guys get your kayaks back to where you were or loaded back up? GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Thank you. There are a couple of options. You can run a shuttle with two vehicles or you can have an outfitter that runs the shuttle for you. You drop your kayaks off at the put in, then they shuttle to the take out for you to drop off your vehicles and then they take you back to the put in and you float back to your vehicle, which is what we did here
Hey Chad you might have said it and I probably missed it but what was the name of that river again. I’d love to come down from Kentucky and experience that beautiful place.
Yes. It’s actually the same trip and my son Austin did an extended edit to include more content and catches. It’s actually in the description too, but I realize that hardly anyone reads those. LOL
Welcome! I just watched part of it again over breakfast… really inspired me to get one of the Bonafide RVR 119 Kayaks. Just recently joined KBF & CKA and having fun! Any advice for a new UA-camr ? @the3almonds and thanks again for all of the helpful tips, entertainment and education!
Chad, my grandmother lived in Warrior...I fished the Locust Fork down the hill from her house as a youngster.....you just brought back some memories for me.....would love to revisit there in a kayak.....speaking of that RVR 119....could that vessel be used in flats and marshy areas effectively? I'm in the market for a new vessel.....been looking at that PWR 129...I presently live in the Tampa Bay area but will be relocating to North Georgia in a couple of years and am afraid that the 129 might be a little bit of overkill for fishing up there.....will be fishing rivers there also so this might be a better option for me....what are your thoughts on that?....
That’s a hard one to answer, but I would say it’s a small Crankbait, spinnerbait, small soft plastic, buzz bait or toad style bait for about 99% or situations for me
I use anything from a 7’ Medium Heavy to a 7’8 Heavy. I recommend a moderate fast to give you a little forgiveness on the hookset. I use the shorter rod when fishing it around bank cover or docks and the longer rod in open pad field, hydrilla, duckweed or similar surface vegetation. Hope this helps.

John is a awesome fisherman. Whether kayaking or wading creeks he gets it done. Thanks for bringing us along Chad. Great video
Thanks for watching! 👊🏻

Super enjoyable nothing like a good day fishing
Chad and John together makes a great video; You guys need a TV show
Ha, I actually have had a TV show for 12 seasons and this was part of a TV show shoot
This might be your best video. Epic fishing and location.
Thanks Patrick

Thank you!! Now get out there
My son and I just took an 8 hr. fishing trip down Locus Fort 2 weeks ago. Caught a boat load of bass. All sizes. So much fun!!!
That’s awesome Scott. What stretch did you float?
@ChadHooverFishing Nector Bridge is where we dropped in and ended at Boogie Bottoms. Looks the same in so many areas.
That looked like a great time cant wait for it to warm up around me
Awesome Action.
Thank you!
You seemed very happy this episode 👊 . Looked like fun .
Thanks, that’s 100% the case
Dang I fish the Locust Fork about every other weekend! Best kayak fishing river you could be on in the state!
It’s amazing
EPIC trip! Love it man!👊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great stuff. The music is good, too!!!
Thank you. Austin did a fantastic job ok this edit and he actually filmed the whole thing too.

It up
Great video. Reminds me of how we do it around here, only for small mouth.
Thanks, where is around here for you?
Looks awesome!
Thanks! It was pretty special
Who wants to see Chad's dance moves?
😂
EVERYONE 🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺
🦗 🦗
Both incredible anglers
Thank you very much!
My hookset delay mantra is, "let him take it... now, let him have it!"
That works too! 👊🏻

Thanks! He’s got a great channel for sure
Bass and beer don't mix LOL 🤣 that must be why I see beer cans on the lake bottom all the time 🤣 😂
Thank you Chad! John is a great guy, both of you are fun to watch. What baitcaster setup were you using to throw the Ned?
That’s the Shimano Curado BFS
Now that's what fishing is all about. I so enjoyed this video. Chad, you looked like you were a your happy place. So good for the soul and mind. I have got to get my kayak out and do this.

Great kayak! Good control. Good for beginners. You will get wet paddling. Universal scupper plugs fit this kayak.
Chad- Bonjour,Super~best -take it easy. :))
Thank you
Hey Chad, just curious, what kind of audio set up do you have? Are you using a lav mic? Wireless or not?
Yes, we use wireless lavs from Sennheiser
@@ChadHooverFishing thanks brother I was just curious how you were getting such great audio

It’s called the Locust Fork River
Yeahh buddy! Need a walk through on how you got your kayak rig!! How you hold your yeti bottle?
Awesome video !
Thank you

The RVR is absolutely suitable for those situations
I live really close to this river . Do you mind telling me the put in and take out locations .
I just use the shuttle at River Beach Outfiitters
@ thank you so much !!
Damn, great video. Great videography. Did you have a BFS reel for the ticklerz?
Yes.
And thank you.
First fish of the day was a smallmouth?????😂
You should check out the leash donkey to put your catch on while getting ready for a picture
I have several of them. I was using the FishUSA lip gripper here because it’s quicker and easier to take on and off
@ChadHooverFishing nice i just started using them love it
Hey yall what is yalls favorite creek baits to use
That’s a hard one to answer, but I would say it’s a small Crankbait, spinnerbait, small soft plastic, buzz bait or toad style bait for about 99% or situations for me
How come nobody was in the Crescent Shoalie? You both have one. lol
Because we can only be in one kayak
At a time
What is a good rod choice (power and action) for throwing a zoom horny toad with a 4/0 grip pin hook?
I use anything from a 7’ Medium Heavy to a 7’8 Heavy. I recommend a moderate fast to give you a little forgiveness on the hookset. I use the shorter rod when fishing it around bank cover or docks and the longer rod in open pad field, hydrilla, duckweed or similar surface vegetation. Hope this helps.
@ChadHooverFishing Awesome! Thanks Chad!!
Chad have you ever used the kastking baitcaster reels if so what did you think about it great video
Can someone tell me the location of this put in and pull out.
Which river are they fishing? North Alabama or in Tennessee?
North Alabama
I have a friend thats like 425 any yaks he can use?
There are quite a few actually. The one that I would recommend though is the NuCanoe Unlimited
@@ChadHooverFishing thank you i will let him know

Maybe
