    Just watched a video of some physical penetration testers and they got into a keypad vault very quickly. Simply dusting down the buttons to see which buttons are pressed, and working out possible numerical combinations from those numbers. Not saying I could do it, but keypads on safes/vaults doesn't seem to be the brightest idea after watching the video I watched. 90 Minutes with a blow-torch... probably about 20 mins with a fingerprint duster.

      Even if you know all of the numbers of a 6 digits password their would be hundreds, of not thousands of possible combos

      Smart enough safes with a keypad would have a locking mechanism and alarm that would go off after too many "tries" have been done, the same mechanism used in many other authentication-based security systems. I bet that a 350,000 USD system would most likely have this kinda implementation in there.
      Edit: not that great at designing, aren't you?

    Go to your watchmaker for your watch, go to your safe and vault store for a safe. This guy clearly knows about high end watches, but as a professional safe and vault technician I must say he doesn't know what he is talking about with safes. What he is selling are fancy looking storage made by high end jewelry companies, not by safe and vault manufacturers that are only in the business of making safes/vaults. There are safes you can buy for $10k that would be thousands of times more secure then what he is selling.

    • @Spazik86
      @Spazik86 6 років тому

      Well I am pretty sure very expensive watches are kept in bank vaults anyway, because of insurance policy etc. I assume these "vaults" are just pretty and cool things to have at home for less expensive watches maybe used on daily wear.

    A lot of insurers don’t let their customers keep the watches at their houses... you u have to keep it in a bank or one of the insurers facilities. It’s rlly annoying cos you have to go pick the watch up and drop it off every time u wanna use it.

    Watch winders are useless, unless you take the watch off and are planning to wear it again in a short period of time. By leaving your watch in watch winder the watch is running 24/7. which means it increases the wear and tear on it. A watch should be opened and cleaned by a professional and have re-oiled.The oils the watch needs to runs gears smoothly get used much more quickly because of it always running. If you have it in a watch winder and if you don't wear the watch a lot, and because you don't wear it a lot forget to get it cleaned or re-oiled you can really mess up your expensive watch. It is that much to pull the crown out and put the current time in? Or spend thousands of dollars fixing an already expensive watch? You decide, that my2 cents

    • @coolmanph
      @coolmanph 7 років тому +1

      If you have an ultra complication watch, it takes some time to set it so I can see why you would want a watch winder. I have some automatic watches that have run 24/7 pretty much for 10 years straight with no issues. I recently got one serviced by Rolex Service Center and they said it was still in very good shape (they recommend servicing every 5-7 years though).

    Why do they put the watches on a machine?

    • @GaganSinghJarry
      @GaganSinghJarry 7 років тому

      Freeza its a automatic movement, meaning that it needs to be worn to be kept running. There's a rotor inside the watch that spins and winds the spring that powers the watch. The machine you're talking about is called a watch winder as it basically simulates daily wear and turns the rotor to keep the watch operational.

      Not all of Doctor Strange's watches were remotely this expensive. The Jaeger LeCoultre Master ultra thin perpetual (the main watch that gets the crystal cracked) is around $16k retail. Quite honestly his collection in the movie is more tasteful and ideal than a lot of these pieces in the video (price not being a factor).
