I also have a Chromag Darco and I'm surprised how well it climbs. It climbs like my Rootdown hardtail but more refined and I can't wait to take it to the big mountains this summer!
I'm currently on a 2020 Rootdown, and this may be my next bike - these old bones are in need of a full squish. Debating on a M/L vs. a Large, the Rootdown's low stack has always had me feeling like a slightly shorter reach would help. That said, I've never lifted the front tire on anything aboard the Rooty, so I expect the same feel from this bike.

This bike is insane, and has too be one of the most beautiful bikes out there
Damn knew that bike looked good from all the pics you've been posting but to hear how well it rides too is awesome!!
Great vid as always!!

Great video Gaz 🤘
I love mine!
Any chance you got to ride a Lowdown? Itching for mine to arrive.
How did the M/L fit? And how tall was the rider?
The geo chart makes it seem pretty long, especially for a 5’7” person.
It's a pretty long bike . I'm 511 and it enables me to throw it around . For someone your hight it's going to me really stable on the steeps
any change you will look at the Chromag Primer ?
It will all depend on what orders we have in . The primer is the rootdown . We do have a ride review on the channel
