Such a beautiful bad ass truck, i have 73 w100 4x4 with a 560hp im swapping it to 2wd drive and lowering it, trying to get into autocross/ pro touring events. Hopefully i can pick your bran about suspension set up
Slighty but it wouldn't outweigh the work or possible issues. If you think about it, it would take more coolant, more line, possibly an electric pump, additional brackets, etc. So total weight would go up and could have over heating issues to deal with.
Level 7 Motorsports with a rear mounted radiator though the lines (i would imagine) would be ran under the truck along the frame. So even if it did add weight wouldn’t it be low cog weight?
I'm studying your setup. I own a 1971 Chevy C10 shortbed that I want to get started in autocross. With your experience, What is your advice for a budget minded starting point?
With a budget I would recommend buying a wide ride front end and fat bar 4 link from No Limit Engineering. I would recommend this only if your doing the build. If your having a shop build it for you, then you need to jump to their full chassis. You will get much more for your money. Feel free to email us with any more questions or help with ordering parts!
When we initially built this truck no one made a chassis for it. A rack and pinion conversion on the stock chassis makes the steering geometry worse. Our Lee box is much faster than your typical rack.
The front tires got an immediate sub from me 🤙🏼 slick looking truck
Absolutely love that color combo. Clean and classy.
Absolutely love your truck!!!
Love the truck!
Would love to see move videos on the truck cams here from Instagram keep up the awesome work 👍
Love to see the swap on the Wagoneer too
You will definitely see it here as well.

What’s your brake system setup?
Awesome build!! Would it help to move the radiator to the back?

What color code is the yellow and white
What’s your thought on long beds going autocross?
The wheelbase of a short bed truck is already bad enough to autocross. A long wheel base just cant pivot and turn.
Time to cut
It looks like you’re not running a rack and pinion, any reason you haven’t switched to one?

Are you using the stock frame and suspension?
Yes we were! Wink wink
How low is it? and how big are the tires?
The bottom of the frame is 3.5” off the ground and the tires are 335/30/18
What kind of engine mount are those
These are the Hooker mounts and crossmember. Great stuff!
What mods will you be doing to the rear end?
This truck has the factory 12 bolt with an Eaton Truetrac, Mosier axles, and gears. Wilwood Aero4 calipers and 14" rotors as well.
add weight.....NO! ...???????? you could move your motor back some does wonders
What wheels are those?
Forgeline GA3
