Well done! Also in PA and had a 1984 Cressida for many years - black, with maroon leather interior, 5 speed, sunroof. The combo was incredibly rare, the 4-door MKII Supra! Sold it after 20-some years and still miss it!
Yours was a very rare color combination and transmission. My Father in Law had that same combo. I have never seen another and never really see any Cressida's on the road. Cheers and I thank you for the positive compliment.
@@watchesandwheels2093 Interestingly the car was purchased by my dad new in 1984. He actually went looking for the Supra but decided on the Cressida because we kids were young and he felt he needed the room.
@@mooch91 Ya know it's funny. About the time you sold your car I was dating a girl who's Dad bought that same car. Black 84 with maroon leather interior with a 5 speed. We are in Pa and maybe.....just maybe he bought it from you guys. I remember saying to him how rare of a car he had.
It has taken some time to get used to the moldings not being on the car. Depends on the angle you look at it. Most people don't know they are missing. I may go back to them...not sure if I will though.
Nice job on the car man, it looks great, very cool to see an old Cressida getting the love it deserves. I guess I've been as busy with my Supra as you've been with that car, the rebuild and restoration of the engine/engine bay is going well, I'm nearing the finish line. I might need to cruise up to PA to check your cars out when my Supra is back together, take care.
The 84 does not use color key'd bumpers unless it was a custom from the factory. Those 84's are rare. Toyota did not paint the bumpers until the 85 model.

Love that someone is restoring one of these. Though it does look naked without the molding

We can do that. :)
Does your still have the OEM keys? You need more Cressida videos
Oh wow! You brought the cressida back to its original condition. I like! Time for you and your wife to take for a spin.
Soon..lol..We will be taking it out as soon as I get the proper plates and insurance
Good stuff
That’s the cleanest Cressida I’ve ever seen.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I want to see a whole lot more
Same colour bumperz as car
