I am a mountain biker in thunder bay.
A good video idea would be mountain biking locations in thunder bay like the Sleeping giant, Trowbridge falls or shunia mines.

SO DO I! People underestimate Thunder Bay. It’s small but an amazing place to grow up
Good collection! Especially 3, 6, 8 and 9 - it's a beautiful land by Lake Superior. The Sleeping Giant was Nanabijou, Spirit of the Deep Water, and at his feet was the richest silver mine in the northwest. Elevator Row is a sight to see also, for the size and industrial value of the giant grain elevators. A note about historic Kakabeka ('Thundering Water') Falls: Greenmantle was an Ojibwa/Chippewa princess who saved her people from attack by Sioux warriors. She approached them, pretending to be lost, was captured and bargained for her life by saying that if they spared her she would lead them to her father's camp. They went along the Kaministiquia ('River with Islands') by canoe, with Greenmantle at the bow of the lead canoe, and she deliberately led them over the falls where they all died, including herself. By the time they saw the danger it was too late. She sacrificed her life to save her people. It is said that if you look into the mist of Kakabeka Falls you will see her spirit.

Great job hitting on a lot of the beautiful spots around Tbay. Also kudos for thinking to use Thunder Bay native Colman Helm's instrumental music for your sound track. I lived in Tbay for about 15 years and enjoyed every year I spent there.
Thunder Bay also has many inland lakes...and streams.......awesome for fishing.....ski do or quad trails to ride as well.
Thunder Bay doesn’t have any inland lakes except a man made one.
@@lindanwfirefighter4973 goggle it.....inland.....meaning small lakes around the area......not Bulaverd lake in town....yes....that in man made....same with Chipawa.

Centennial Park is my favourite, especially when the animals are there. Fun to toboggan there in the winter. Balsam Pit is another popular place to toboggan.

As a thunder bay resident, I proudly think it is the greatest in the world. We have our problems we will over come but what city doesn't. Glad you are enjoying it. Get out fishing if you really want to enjoy the outdoors to full potential.

i'm going to to lakehead this fall and was wondering how your experience as a student has been? is it easy to go grocery shopping without a car? are the taxis and public transportation reliable? are the students at resident nice lol? i'm so scared since i've never lived anywhere that wasn't a major city!
DoubleEmzeez hey! Depends of which type of course are you taking, in my case I was a masters student and I confess that I wasn’t so lucky with my coordinator... but despite this, LU has great professors and you probably will like!
There’s a bus stop Right in front of the main entrance of the university. It’s pretty easy to grocery by bus ;)
The studs on the res area are nice. Everything depends of how interactive you are. They use to get together all the time. I think it’s a nice thing specially for those who are moving alone :)

Frank JUV canadian nightlife is quite slow. Every pub or club closes at 2am.
But I suggest you to go at The Outpost on Lakehead University! Is the best place to have fun during the nightin ky opinion! They always promote those “course party” like engineering and nursing studs... they also have a traditional country night at Saturdays (Idk if it’s still happening, last Time I went was in 2017 😂)

What about bears? Isn’t it dangerous in the wild?
not many bears around this area, but its always safer avoid walk in bushes and forests alone. You may find some black bears around the dumping ground tho
Alberta has big and dangerous grizzly bears... there you MUST take care!!

Nice attempt kid. Twenty years late in fact. Thunder Bay once was a nice city. Hell, I lived in what was considered one of the roughest places in the city decades ago (was an Intowner reg back then as well) and that pales in comparison to the cess pool it has become. I would never raise a family there now. The crime is horrendous and anyone on here says different they are lying to themselves. I know doctors and nurses in that city who would disagree with how "great" that place is. Don't get me wrong, it was nice once. Just unfortunately not anymore. Glad you didn't get mugged or beaten kid.
I've lived in Westfort for almost 10 years, never had any issues.
