People who are rich don't say money isn't everything when they have a child who needs very expensive, long term medical care. It is a special kind of hell to watch someone you love die a long, excruciating death because you couldn't afford the medicine to cure them. Most wealthy people are very grateful for their riches. Actors are just a completely different breed, they are unbelievably narcissistic and single minded. They radically change personalities even when not playing a part in a movie. Their entire life is make believe and fantasy.

You guys are missing the point. I believe the message is vast amounts of wealth and fame recognition is not the ultimate answer. Having enough money to afford health care is a political issue that needs change in this country. What it means is, being supremely rich and famous will not eliminate the internal struggle and journey we all must face to be happy in your own skin, to know yourself, to treat others with kindness and respect. To love. Everyone has basic needs, but you don't need unlimited wealth to feel alive. Don't make that an excuse. And don't wait around for it.

Most comedians has lived tragic sad lives. Their humour was a defence mecanism. Robin Williams was the same...
Robin Williams had a terminal disease though. Thats why he took his own life. He wanted to go out on his terms and no the diseases. Not to say he didnt also struggle with depression but a lot of people tend to think he killed himself because he was depressed and thats not really the full story.

It just shows how lazy and robotic the staff are.
So they were accusing a man to give something his girlfriend while himself was not in the best shape mentally, he was probably just trying to help her to feel better.
Not to mention she was clearly depressed before they got together. If you bond over your depressions and regrets, you can sadly pull each other down even further. Her suicide is tragic, but it wasn't Jim's fault. Her family probably didn't wanna believe their daughter would kill herself.
The poor girl was depressed I understand that but Jim Carrey is also depressed and the two both understood what it's like so he probably felt at home with her so why would he do anything to hurt her the family probably just didn't want to belive that there daughter would actually do such a thing, and about the note she wrote years prior if that was such a problem don't you think something would have been done about it years prior, I love Jim Carrey and do not belive any if the stuff in this video because of the proof out there that it didn't happen and another thing why title the video "the tragic life of Jim Carrey" you don't know him so how do you know if his life is tragic or not because although he's depressed he's still conquered a lot in his life so I think his life is inspirational

It has got to be dismissed because of something, that doesnt just happen randomly and they say "yea well I don't really care anymore". If it was dismissed it had to be inspected and probably wasnt the case that he supplied her with the drugs that killed her.

Comedians get extra attention because they can make us feel so good, and keep us laughing even though they are often deeply depressed. They are unusual in that regard, and they appear more poignant and worthy of our sympathy since they make us happy. No one cares very much when a deeply depressed person is crying on the inside. Usually, they get abused for "not trying".

Jim Carrey has an exceptional talent and that brings a lot of loneliness and because the great artist in himself is multilayered and complex being he is often misunderstood. Maybe he is depressed because he never met that other half that truly understand him for what he is on all levels. Simply extraordinary :)

Alan Moore once said that one of the main reasons why so many artists, especially storytellers, struggle with depression is because they risk their sense of identity every time they do their job. It’s not as easy as it looks to separate your true self from the characters you play and/or write about. As an aspiring comedian/writer who also struggles with severe depression and anxiety, I can attest to this. My comedic persona is an exaggerated depiction of my real-life personality, which is something I’ve had to learn how to balance with my offstage persona.
I respect him a lot. His book about waves comforted me during an existential crisis. 💜

"The Trueman Show" had changed my perspectives about movies. After that i watched almost all his movies
😅 and became a great fan😍😍. He is a great guy and best acting in all his movies. i felt little sadness and innocence in his character roles. I wish he never dies and kerp continue his movie career....
Beforehand Jim felt compulsive and there was a restlessness about him. Now he feels peaceful. There's so much serenity around him. It might not be great entertainment value but I'm happy for him. Well done lad! 😉

I really hope Jim Carrey accepts himself someday. He means a lot to millions of people around the world, and I hope that someday Jim can once again be the Jim Carrey we all need these days.. I suffer from very similar mental issues as Jim Carrey, and not only is he one of the greatest nostalgia celebrities of all time, but he's also the most recognized person with manic depression on the planet (since Robin Williams is no longer alive anyway). If we lose Jim Carrey, it will hurt a lot of us out there that see him as an inspiration. If Jim Carrey goes out the way Robin Williams did, it's going to hurt people a lot worse than just losing a piece of their childhood. A lot of us who know what Jim is going through year after year need Jim Carrey to find himself. He represents millions of people in a way that other famous people never could, and we need this man to be okay. Whether he likes it or not, his role on this planet is bigger than fame and fortune. I believe it's bigger than he could ever realize at this stage in his life.
