Pacific Rim: The Video Game is a 2013 video game published and developed by Yuke's for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 based on the film Pacific Rim. It is a fighting game where players choose between the film's Jaegers and Kaiju.
In single-player mode, the player engages in several one-on-one melee battles to earn achievement points and upgrades for their characters. Jaegers have two health bars (as they require two pilots) while Kaiju have one.Each character has its own set of special attacks. For example, Gipsy Danger can fire its plasma cannon or use its chain swords, while Leatherback can disrupt a Jaeger's mobility by firing an electromagnetic pulse.
It is important to note that its only for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and is only downloadable.

I remember as a kid hearing about a game for Pacific Rim on mobile. I never once knew about it being on console and pc until now. Man the amount of hours I would have put into this game if I had it as a kid.

Yeah all the Kaiju have Codenames. In the first film Raileigh says, CODENAME, KNIFE HEAD.

What a sh1tty looking game. They took some very generic 3d fighting game engine, strapped the movie models in and put it for sale. As the sh1tty sequel movie, it failed one of the few good things of the original film: make kaijus/Jaegers FEEL gigantic. A 300 feet steel monster, moving like some freaking ninja? Same mistake of the sh1tty robocop remake: Ninja robot, in ninja suit, missed the point entirely. Older audiences hated it, youngers didn't care.

You can only get Striker from a DLC, which you can't buy anymore and you would have to use an emulator to play as him nowadays

4 months later but this is Pacific Rim video game lol. Based on the first movie back in 2013. And you still can play the game if you want so long you have a good PC through an Xbox emulator. Just found that out last week and it's a blast = )
