  • A quick review and ride of the Super Soco CPX Electric Scooter. With a claimed range of up to 87 miles, can it go the distance ? and does it live up to the claim that it's as good as a 125cc petrol equivalent ? I give my opinion on range, comfort, performance, and value for money, after owning the bike for almost 1000 miles

I have a Suzuki address 110 also and I won't be trading it in for an electric scooter with limited range like this anytime soon. I can get around 150 miles from a single tank of petrol and it only takes me a few minutes to fill it up, compared to hours of charging up a battery to get just a fraction of that mileage. Maybe by the time electrically powered scooters are the norm and fossil fuel powered engines are phased out, the amount of range from a battery and its charging time will have improved significantly.

Thanks for the reply Martin. You’re absolutely right, I knew the current shortcomings of current EV technology before I bought this little bike, which much the same for the cars,… and you can’t transport a Jerry can of electricity in the same way you can with petrol. Ewan Mcgreggor and Charley Boorman have done a recent long trek across various countries on electric Harleys, which is an amusing watch ;). Enjoy your Suzuki address, they’re an underrated little bike !

Range same after 3 years. 50 mile minimum, 100 mile maximum, average probably 70 miles.

Nice to see a review from a real owner, some very good points made also when comparing to a 125cc bike.

Thanks Alan, I’m working on part 2 for this review, a bit more of a ride than review, but it takes in some motorway. Should be online within 24hrs

Advertising is a trading standards issue. 4kw is a 50cc. Range should not include limping home mode.

    Hi,
This or the bmw c evolution for nutorious shoppping with passanger and a lot of luggage. The c evolition also has a single and a longe range variant but it is really heavy for the driverwho would be 158cm's tall. The c evolution's ride height is around the sam, as I remember 780mm. Which would you recommend for us? Thanks in advance!

Have you seen the price of the BMW ? It’s literally the price of two Honda NC750’s ?

@@pjexplores9592 Yeah but if that would maybe be my only vehicle for extended periods of time like half a year in every year maybe a good option, mainly because i think i would need the power of it, for beiing 55kg drive and 75kg passenger on board and luggage bag in front of it luggage bag inthe middle of the drivers legs, at front both sides of the steering column, at the back both side of the pper rear wheel partition next both side of the passangers legs, and one big 60l starage box behind the passanger, and behind the bike I would also tow a small lightweight motorcycle trailer, because in my country it's allowed to tow half of the motorcycles weight with trailer included. So yeah i don't know maybe my only solution in electric solution bikes is the longe range 48hp bmw c evolution. What do you think, the CPX would handle this task as well? IT WOULD HAVE FAR LESS TRAILER WEIGHT TO BED TOWED BECAUSE IT'S weight is 125kg idon't know exactly, and c evolutions is 265 or 275kg. And mybe because it's stronger, maybe it would lose less range by towing it's max allowed half of it's weight capacity with passanger luggage and fully loader trailer on board? What's your ipinion about this rare cenario? Thanks in advance for reading

@@k.o.t.o.n. I think you’ll struggle to tow anything with a CPX to be honest. I’d wait until electric bikes are commonplace, they’ll be better than the CPX and a more realistic price than the BMW
