Can't stand having a 12 Wide fitting foot and never being able to find anything that actually fits with Salomon. Such awesome looking shoes n boots and yet...never in stock 🙄
These boots aren't designed for using for long periods or multi day treks, they are for military personnel doing high paced assaults (clues in the name).
This pair would be the worst for your survival , the comfort level is pathetic . No padding , no under support , has terrible pressure points . No after sales Support from Salomon what's so ever !
Wonder how the Salomon Forces Speed Assault, Sua Sponte Mark III, and all of Solomon Forces versions of their boots 🥾compared to the great fitment of the medium/standard width X ULTRA 3 MID GORE-TEX? Lower to Medium volume foot 🦶🏻, can’t go any wider. Do they run wider/sloppier?✌🏻
The Salomon Forces version of the boots you’ve mentioned do run a bit small, so, going for a size up is definitely recommended. The heaviest boot that goes over the 20 ounces limit has to be the Quest 4D GTX Forces variant, around 25 ounces if I’m not mistaken. Not sure about them being wider or sloppier.
My reason being that their soles aren't as aggressive as the speed assaults so they won't be eaten away so quickly on concrete and can be worn on rural terrains
@@rc-pm1fe yeah, I own both shoes and it's safe to say your better off wearing the XA forces for both hiking and just going out for a stroll in town, when i used the speed assaults for a 5km jog I saw some parts of the soles already got chipped off from the concrete so now I only use the speed assaults for hiking, but I also know the speed assaults are great for trail running
Excellent review as usual!

Great review. I would like to know if it is a wide toe box? Do they come in wide? What is the heel to toe drop? What is the lug depth? Thank you.

So not for hikes in the region of 300 - 900 km?
It's still junk , gives no support even for a speed assault.
Hey have you got these bad boys soaking wet? if so did they dry/drain well?
Thanks for any info

im debating between these and the xa forces. I am a police officer and would be workin gin urban and rural environments.
I'd rather go for the XA forces
@@averagefan4629 I own both now, I use the xa gotex for the cooler months and the assaults for my swat boot
