After the recent Raze nerfs I wanted to test out and see what is still doable. Can you still reach the same satchel jumps you could before? In this video I show you side by sides on how bad the Raze nerf is, or is it that bad at all?

After playing around with Raze, it turns out the nerf really isn't that bad but I will have to get in customs and practise the new timing 💥
Yes well speak for yourself x) damn it's hard to get used to this difference for me this nerf is hard especially on certain technical jumps where I still had trouble being consistent like ascent gen to wall and with this nerf I have to relearn certain jumps and yes the muscle memory has to be redone it's a pain.
what do u think about its' new sound ? and yeah i'm surprised the nerf isn't as bad as i thought it would be but i hate the sound it makes now
So basically, I guess they did to make raze easier to hit during air time.

Raze satchels feel like you are being dragged through mud now, and if you try doing something risky, you get shot at like an aimlabs target
This is literally i noticed after the nerf. The horizontal distance isn't really the problem you can still do most of the jumps, it's the speed that makes the timings bit off.

i have put it in one of my videos, cant remember which one but it wasnt the greatest guide on it. will probably put in it another video or make a short explaining how to do it :)

people saying its better or it did nothing, but now its much easier to get hit while in the hair than before
you can't make the jumps you once did due to the speed nerf and like you said, much easier to be hit in the air because its a lot more floaty :(

Great video, Gray! exactly what content i was waiting for. i was trying to practice Raze again in Custom Game and figure out if she was still really possible and playable with her double satchels movements. And yes, it's not really bad because I feel like now I need to focus on the double satchels momentum, which means it needs more effort while timing the second satchels to hit all the Raze spots, even though she feels slower. but yeah. It's not that easy anymore to double-satchel without extra focusing on the momentum of her second satchels. But damn man, we finally got the Raze nerf raze mains always afraid of.
i always knew it was coming but expected it sooner, i guess we can be glad its not as bad as we all thought it was going to be and get practising
you can't just fuck it we ball into backsite anymore exposed because you get shot out of the air, same distance but you're an easier target now

i don’t think the problem with this nerf is really in the jumps themselves, i feel like double satcheling in just won’t be viable anymore though because it’s so easy to get shot out of the air
single satchelling is nerfed more i feel, just dont go for jumps that you float in the air and you have less chance of getting tapped

tbh seeing all the satchels cover almost the same amount of distance, its not even that bad of a change
my objective humble opinion: no they didnt kill raze
i don't think so either, but you definitely feel the change when it comes to the longer satchels which sucks but practise make perfect :)

the nerf imo affects single satchels more than double satchels before you would buy a judge and satchel in get a kill and satchel out which i found harder to pull off now because satchels are slower and dont cover as much distance
im not an avid judge player so i wouldnt know but im glad it affects that tbh, hopefully a judge nerf next :)

i play about 4-6 games a day or sometimes none, only play with friends instead of solo queueing into depression
although the nerf isnt as bad as it looks, it definitely feels off when playing raze after the nerfs

for you perhaps this isn't a big nerf since the devs cater to the pro scene who are already mechanical demons, but for regular people like me this is horrible

According to my observations, Raze satchels getting Nerf will pave the way for more consistent and controlled entry into tight spaces using packs.

Might do yeah, got to really practise all the jumps myself. The timing change really messes with the muscle memory at times.

People are misinterpreting the patch note. It's the speed when you're flying that was changed. Not the distance.
if you do the same satchels as before then you don't reach the same distance, the timing has changed due to the speed change so you need to almost throw different satchels that aren't as clean as before

After Video: I still wanna say yes due to losing the speed BUT even as a Raze main, honestly I think this is the PERFECT way to nerf any character. She's still viable/playable but just requires like you said a bit more timing precision on the satchels. Sad nerf to Raze mains but overall good nerf that didn't completely kill the character

I am trying to learn this move on console (lol yes) and I am really confusing about HOW you are doing such a big jump with the 2nd satchel. I've tried several timing, I can go really high or really far, but I can't do both at the same time.
Is there something am I missing ? Need to jump or crouch or something like that ? All is about the timing of the first satchel ?
i'm really impressive about your jump, specially and ASCENT (that's what I'm trying to reproduce)

With every jump, there are different timings. It's really a case of tial and error and working out what you're doing wrong. Getting speed off the first satchel and height off the second has always been the case with Satchels but now that they are different with the nerf, they are a lot harder to do and time and even harder most likely on console but you got it my guy.
I'm curious if you played Valorant on PC before console or only on console?
The timing concerns the first satchel, as I understand that the second one always follows directly after the first, right?
And I understood that I just need to deal with the satchel button, not the jump or the croutch or whatever ?
I've played Valorant on PC for about 30 hours, but I'm just not good with mnk, it was painful. I've played FPS games with a controller for over 15 years, so I'm taking the opportunity to play Valorant with a controller now
@@grayfps Sorry for the second message, but I've realized something. The timing actually concerns the second satchel, right? You need sometimes to throw it in advance and detonate it a bit after throwing it? Am I on the right way? Ahahaha
@@anelhad2449 I can do the same jumps as Gray, and yes you're right. Second satchel is the one that matters and the one that changes if your getting height, distance or both combined. Also, where you're looking depends too. If you look straight down you'll get more distance, if you're looking a little bit up from your feet in front of you, you'll get more height. Extra tip: the further you fall before detonating your satchel, the more momentum you get. Good luck.

Im on console and have been trying the jump at 1:40 but i can never get the second satchel to give me enough height, same thing on the way back. Any tips?

ye she will still be meta i think, not everyone satchels around like this and use raze to gain some space while her nade, boombot and ult are all high impact

I feel bad for all the Raze players, getting all that muscle memory and feeling and then this. It's like you get used to driving a motorcycle and now you have to drive a truck. I really hope they reverse this and only make the sound more audible from a distance. Also the new sound is horrible.

Might be brain damage, but I could never get the hang of old raze satchels myself. But I'm still not a fan of this nerf. I wish they just took away the aimpunch on the grenade, that annoys me way more than raze players with good movement did. I get hit by 4 points of damage from the nade but my crosshair goes to the moon.

Ofc gray wouldnt be affected but players like me who have not the best movement are greatly affected as we already were having trouble with some jumps now the nerf just makes ir even harder for us to do them... horrible nerf imo nerfing the only skill based ability in her kit was definitely not the move.
They definitely nerfed me haha, this is in a custom. It will take some practise to get them down in actual immo lobbies, especially the harder jumps, but I enjoy playing Raze too much to not give it a go
