Great review and very timely as I’m currently debating whether to choose this latex hybrid or the Saatva Classic luxury firm. What do you see as the key differences and which would you choose? My husband and I are combo sleepers and generally like a firm/flat even surface feel that’s comfortable yet very supportive. Thanks!

Hey I got a question for you guys, sleepopolis.
My friend and I are having a debate.
I have a chronic inflammatory which makes my body super-sensitive especially when it comes to sleep.
I've had to move several times over the last several years. I am one hundred percent convinced that different surfaces underneath my bed frame can completely change how my mattress feels even down to something as simple as carpet and even different types of carpet.
I will even try and duplicate an exact feel of comfort by taking carpet remnants or even a blanket etc underneath my mattress and I swear that it can COMPLETELY change the comfort level even if whatever I put underneath is thin. I mean it can be a giant difference to my body to even just put like one blanket between my masters and the bed frame or underneath it or a combination of such.
And I mean it can make the difference between me waking up throughout the night with my body feeling stiff and sore and uncomfortable, and sleeping comfortably and soundly.
My buddy is telling me it's all in my head, I'm at it's not scientifically possible for that extra padding so to speak to make a difference with my mattress.
But I'm not thinking while I'm asleep. I'm not even really thinking about it when I fall asleep, I'm trying to relax the best I can, and just fall asleep and I'm telling you it can be a world of difference with literally just a quarter or 1/8 of an inch underneath.
Can you explain this? I'm convinced because of years of dealing with this it makes a TOTAL difference because of how my body will feel with the "padding" so to speak I put underneath my mattress.
I guess to me it would be similar to how they would build them actress. If you took two identical mattresses but put a tiny thin layer on one mattress that the other mattress didn't have I am convinced the comfort levels would be completely different.
    Your thoughts?
