When they say omuganda yali mugezi to put such boundaries. Many will say those things dont make sense but there was a reason, i have heard of people crying because of mistakes under that tree. For example people from the same lineage could be sickle cell carriers, imagine the two coming together. There are many more diseases that are transfered in the lineage sense. You share a genetic portion from your mom and dad , if from them you carry a certain thing it would only be wise to avoid the two lineages and look into an outside lineage to avoid such cases beacuse family trees are sooo big and it is very hard to bring each and every one together in family get togethers let alone remembering thousands of people under your tree . That is why even if i left my country and found a mate in a different location but our names fall under the same lineage, we are related because these family trees started growing years back in that they are so wide and the only way we can trace back is by our names . Thats why in buganda we identify by totems
