In rural areas, people can trick uneducated people to show aadhar and otp just once to change the registered number!
Thereafter, they can use it for fraudulent kyc as many times as they want.
Secondly, even for educated people like you, you won’t be able to do much if someone just spoofs your number
So…using biometrics for changing the registered number is the only safest way 😊

Your DoB can only be updated once. In case it needs to be updated more than the prescribed limit, then it can be done through the exception handling process. For that, you'll have to visit Aadhaar Kendra with the following documents: i.) A DOB certificate issued by the authority under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969. ii.) But For similar services, Aadhar centre is charging 700 for going to my parents place who are senior citizens , but govt of India - India postal dept, did it for just rupees 50 that too with DOOR SERVICES
@@adyycted but I raised complaint with one more govt agency who handle all issues in India pertaining to Aadhar, taxes , voter id etc and they helped my mom by having her update at an Aadhar centre very near to her home that had zero wait time , no line and not a single person at all in line.

Recent days Adhar website is really slow and always shows technical error. Also address change taking longer than usual. More than 20 days still the address update is under proces. It should either approve or rejected. Why it is taking so much time for verification?
Normally up to 30 days from the date of update, the Aadhaar is updated. Also, once your request is processed, you will be intimated by SMS on your registered mobile number. You may also check the status after few days by visiting our website www.uidai.gov.in or by contacting UIDAI toll free number 1947.

Very worst website. The video is taken in the imaginary world, whereas in practical, it is testing the patience. It says it is free of cost but while selecting change of address, it says we have to pay Rs.50. This is fraud, cheating and the aadhaar industry revolves with several crores. Shame. If you are not able to maintain the portal inspite of charging fees, please resign from your job and get lost.

Dear Sir/Madam, You can only request for Address update in your Aadhaar through our website uidai.gov.in. For online portal based update, mobile number must be registered with the Aadhaar.
Note:- You must visit nearest Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update your demographic details in Aadhaar. UIDAI is strictly against any such activities. You have to pay Rs. 50/ for any demographic and Rs.100 for biometric update. And, there is no fee for Aadhaar enrolment and mandatory biometric update.
