I love love Family Affair so much and miss Anissa, Brian and Sabastian- One of my all time favorite shows- thank you to youtube and those who put them here for us to enjoy.
I sure wish good honest and valued family movies like this still came on tv maybe there wouldn't be so much stealing and killing in the world this show reflects love unlike TV today. This was great to watch wish I could see more
I totally LOST IT near the end when buffy tells bill she doesn't want to leave; bawled like a baby. of course I knew they'd stay-there couldn't be a show without them but this episode was still quite moving.
I remember watching the show every Monday night as a kid at 8:30 pm, The Lucy Show at 7:30, Andy Griffith at 8:00, then Family Affair. It was a nice complement of shows. I remember feeling a little sorry for Aunt Fran at the end of this one when I first saw it as a 9 year old, but now watching it as an adult, she was a master manipulator who got her just dessert...Still shed a tear at the end though when Buffy finally sees the light!
Thanks for memories from my past. Loved that show, hated it when Sebastian Cobot became ill; and for nine episodes was replaced by John Williams portraying Niles French. It wasn't that he was a bad actor; he just wasn't Mr. French.
This episode is actually called " Once In Love With Buffy." Was looking for it under Aunt Fran Returns at IMDB.. couldn't find it. Just in case anyone was wondering.
I CRY MY EYES OUT. NO ONE SHOULD BE TAKEN FROM THEIR FAMILY MOST OF ALL TWIN'S AND I CRY THINKING OF THIS CHILD BEING GONE MOST OF ALL ALONG HER SO CALL BOY FRIEND AND FRIENDS SHOULD STILL BE A SHAME OF THEIR SELF TO THIS DAY.MISS HER.
I quite a agree. It was really sad when Brian Keith committed suicide. I still think of it when I see him in this show or the parent trap. So sad with what happen to Anisa and Sabastian Cabbot, then his real life daughter killed herself and that was his reason. But life is like that.. Get through a day a time and when needed 1 minute at a time. Thing might look bleak at times . Pull yourself up and go. I certain;y wouldn't like leaving that kind of legacy to my daughters.need to talk Iam here
I think I read somewhere that the opening was to take advantage of the fact that all CBS prime time programming was in color starting in fall 1966. CBS started showing color programs in fall 1965, but not all of prime time. Since "Family Affair" premiered the same month CBS showed all prime time shows in color, Family Affair was the first or one of the first CBS prime time show with all episodes in color.
ME TO AND IF THEY WOULD HAD MADE A SHOW OF TWIN GIRLS BUFFY AND CAINDY FROM THE BRADY'S COULD HAD PLAY THE PERFECT TO THEY LOOK SO MUCH A LIKE BACK THEN THEY COULD OF USED LISA HEARTMAN AS A TWIN WHEN THEY WERE A LITTLE OLDER. SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CHILD. SO LOVE BY SO MANY AND STILL MISS. AND LOVE TO THIS DAY.

When we were growing up, everyone wanted an Uncle Bill.
"Uncle Bill, please don't be sensible- I love it- I love this show so much to this day and I was like 12 when Anissa died and I am now 47.
What a heart wrenching program!

Wasn't there an episode where they do go back to Terre Haute but it stirs up bad memories so they went back to New York?
please post some more...
When I was a kid (and still now) I was confused by the intro and outro. A spinning pile of gems? Are those gems Uncle Bill's?
I totally agree
Thanks anyway.
