  • Kilpop Minute with Tina Smash for July 19, 2020
AC/DC made an announcement (Wednesday), but it's not a tour.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of their album Highway to Hell on July 27th, starting (Wednesday) they're posting several rare videos from their Plug Me In DVD box on their UA-cam channel.
The first video is "Highway to Hell" from the Dutch TV show Countdown from July 13th, 1979.
    M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold says his whole family got a kick out of his character in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 online update, Operation Apocalypse Z.
In a video released by the band, Shadows says, "I totally get a kick out of it. My kids get a kick out of it -- something they can actually relate to. When my wife saw the character, I think I could tell she thought the character was a little bit better looking than I am in real life, so that kind of hurt my feelings a little bit."
He adds that recording his dialogue for the game is totally different than working on songs for the popular series. "I don't really see singing in the studio as acting. This was definitely acting. I was trying to put myself in the position of being dropped in with a hundred people and having to fight for my life. So I was able to capture my own personality within the character. And it's been a total trip."
    BONUS VIDEO: Skillet Feels "Legendary"
Skillet have another video from Victorious, which is due out August 2nd.
    Watch "Legendary" on UA-cam now.
The PunkGoes series returns for its 19th edition on July 26th with PunkGoes Acoustic, Volume 3. Underoath, Taking Back Sunday and Mayday Parade are among the participants.
GRETA VAN FLEET: The Next Album Will Be Different
Maybe they are going to try to NOT sound like Led Zepplin with their next album.
Guitarist Jake Kiszka say, "We're working on something quite different, I suppose. It's interesting, 'cause we never know exactly what an album's gonna look like; it can only be so premeditated. But as it sort of unfolds now, it's an example of where we are musically right now. So it's definitely much different than Anthem of the Peaceful Army."
The album is expected out late this year.
A new Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators live package will be out September 20th.
Living the Dream Tour was recorded during the band's show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on February 20th of this year.
Check out a preview of the package with a performance of "Anastasia" on UA-cam.
Killswitch Engage have released another track from Atonement, which is due out August 16th. Check out the lyric video for "I Am Broken Too" on UA-cam.
The 10th and final part of Alice in Chains' Black Antenna film has been posted on UA-cam.
And lastly Slipknot's Knotfest Roadshow will feature a traveling Slipknot museum at each stop. The exhibit includes instruments, memorabilia, wardrobe and personal items. The Knotfest Roadshow kicks off July 26th in Mountain View, California.
