Very nicely sung and played. However, I must inform you that what you are singing is not a "traditional" round, but an eight-part round I wrote for my four children and for the four children of Willliam and Edith Ballard. I turned it into a piece for SSAA and piano (also available for SATB and piano). It is published by G. Schirmer and is under US and international copyright. Only the final measures for which you have added a descant are not in the original. The SSAA version is the theme song of the Piedmont Choirs' international children's chorus festival; hundreds of children from many countries sing it together at the final concert. (By the way, I suppose you know that you are singing it one step higher than it is written: E major instead of D). Good luck to you both -- Kirke Mechem
+Kirke Mechem Thank you so much for this information. I learned this song as a child and remembered it forever, but could never find the sheet music, even after searching online and asking friends. This is why I thought it was anonymous/traditional. I'm so glad to finally know the origins of the song and I have added your name to the description above to credit you as composer.
That was amazing. You two both have outstanding and wonderful voices!

+la harpe de melodie Thank you! --Kirke
I'm glad you allowed them to leave this version here Kirke! I've now listened to a children's choir singing your original setting too.
Pretty though.
