- Jingles and IDs of FM radio stations in Riga, capital of Latvia, recorded during my trip to the city in August 2014.
Television tower on Daugava river island (!) is, as always, my own photo:)
*LR2 & LR4, as I missed recording them while in Riga, are supplement recordings from my FM DX at my home near Warsaw, Poland.

Thanks, happy to see you enjoy it:) Riga's FM was a pleasant experience! FYI: I rented a room from a French guy there:) About the audio - I only had to level down TOPradio, as they pump their music at the loudest dBr. Avtoradio was mono and Radio Skonto sounded like fed from a poor internet stream, but afaik it was only a test mode for their new tx on 102,3.

104,3 and 105,2 Are playing the same song by coicidence XP

95.5 is the same Russian Hits Radio but from Jelgava.
And 91.9 is TOPradio but from Iecava.
Cool. I have also replied latvia radio 4 on dx 104,2fm and radio Sconto from Valmiera 99,8fm dx 325km.
These recordings are GREAT! But a LOT of stuff has happened about a few radio stations in Riga like, 88.6 FM somewhere in 2020 was called Crush FM and then I think it got sold to Avtoradio and now is called Radio Roks or Radio Rock in English. And also when 88.6 FM was Crush FM then it transmitted from Ākenskalna Tower which is the old tower where television was broadcasted. Also, Capital FM than in 2018 broadcasted on 101.0 FM and then it went out of business and a different radio station broadcasted on that frequency then in 2021 it got sold to EHR (European Hit Radio), and now on 101.0 FM broadcasts EHR Latviešu Hiti witch is EHR Latvian Hits in English. And 94.5 FM doesn't exist anymore. (Probably because it went bankrupt or didn't have a lot of listeners)

First of all, CRUSH FM is part of the MIX GROUP MEDIA. And they gave the frequency to RELAX FM, because they don't need it. And that is Russian rock.
I don't recall that Ākenskalna Tower is broadcasting. Always in Zaķusalas.
As for Capital FM, the project is extinct, because they bought RELAX FM GROUP, and the radio founder Janis Mellens (Carstvu Emu Nebesnoe) died.
Indeed, the 101 FM frequency belongs to EHR. But previously it was XO and 101radio.
So don't write nonsense. I know more than you. Besides, I live in Liepaja and have been to Riga many times. And there's a lot I can tell you about radio, there's even an archive.

Capital FM is no longer.
Yup, there have been many changes since 2014 (when this was recorded):
90,0 was Spin, 94,5 is now Retro, 97,3 is Marija, 95.8 is new Naba
@@XPLORADIO Additional info: As of July 5, 2021, Radio PIK (100,0 MHz from Āgenskalns transmitter) got its license revoked by our National Electronic Media Council or NEPLP and is no longer on air. The reason is because the station broke three serious violations of our Electronic Media Law: the dissemination of rude and obscene expressions, the call for war or military conflict, the call for the violent overthrow of the state or the violent modification of the state system, the undermining of the country's territorial integrity or another crime, and the lack of diversity in opinion-sharing programs.
