He decided to Drive drunk. Its on him. Im a retired county law enforcement officer in Ottawa county Michigan. Only folks I feel bad for? His wife n kids. Thankfully he didnt take anyone elses life while driving drunk.

He,,if you watched the asst tv reports he was a beverage salesman. Had last left a Restaurant/BAR around 9 p.m. Ill wager sizeable $$ his autopsy shows a Blood alcohol level that maybe not highly drunk. But enough to impair ,make sleepy n drive off the road.
How do you know he didn't slide off the road? It's icy and snowy this time of year. As retired law enforcement you should know better than to jump to conclusions. He could've just been following Google maps.
It hasn't been anything near icy or snowy yet this season, but....getting lost or taking the wrong turn isn't hard to do, especially at night in an area you don't know. A family of five died when the driver got confused and wound up in a creek, they were missing for quite some time. This happened near Sparta, KY in 2008. We'll only know for sure when or if the toxicology report is made public.
