Kinda horrible... I have no electricity... I just got 2 PS3 games from a pawn shop I can't play... I am waiting for the power to be restored and we have to use a generator to power the fridge and charge devices... The generator was able to power our TV and DVD player while powering the fridge so we rented a Redbox movie to watch...
I still want to play those 2 games but I can't...
The past 2 days have been Kida horrible... I have to use mobile data on my phone to watch UA-cam... My laptop won't stay charged for more than 20 minutes and I can't use it because it died already...
It's all thanks to the storm knocking down power lines and trees... It was 70 miles per hour wind or higher if I remember correctly...
Also the Coronavirus has me stuck at home too...
It's just bad luck... My dog died, then Coronavirus, and then this storm while on quratine...

As someone who was engaged to an abusive partner, and kept telling myself everything was fine and we were happy: I was actually scared by how much I relate to this. At first I was thinking "Okay, this sounds familiar, but it's probably about a failed marriage or something." Then it said "Sometimes you think you're in love, *when really you're just engaged* "
I had my doubts. I started seeing patterns. Then we went on vacation and he proposed. I said yes because I thought that's what we needed. What I needed. I just needed him to take the next step to show he cared. Then we got back. And everything started getting worse. I constantly felt alone. He wouldn't talk about the actual wedding, but would talk about how we needed to be after getting married. How I needed to be. Told me I shouldn't invite extended family or my friends. Then his previous patterns started showing up again, more intense and visible. I started googling 'Am I in a toxic relationship?', 'Signs of a toxic partner', 'Mental abuse patterns', etc. Then I would clear my history while crying myself to sleep, telling myself the articles were wrong. I almost killed myself due to the trauma that relationship put me through. Two days after he broke it off, I felt relieved. A week after and he was already dead to me. A month after and I started to recognize what he did.
My friends don't know why I stayed so long. My family still doesn't know the full story. My coworkers wonder how I kept up a happy façade while I was slowly dying. The one person who warned me doesn't understand why I ignored them. And all I can respond with is "Sometimes people try so hard to believe they're in love, they'll fight till they can't anymore to cling onto it."
Please never cling to something that makes you unhappy. It might seem like giving up, but it's not. Not if the other person won't work with you.
