@@TheProjection1987 great effort, full marks for that. Look for a camera with in body OIS and also lens image stabilization, basically a good DSLR. Infact nowadays point and shoot from Sony and Canon also has good OIS. You can get a stand with a good gimbal which also comes with stabilization. You can get good deals during season sales on Amazon, Flipkart etc. All the best 👍

As far as I remember 5 hours approx. You should take a ride. Amazing experience. But don't compare with by road journey. You must not be in hurry. Narrow gauge train is a bit slower than car. But journey with toy train is very amusing and comfortable.
NJP-Darjeeling Darjeeling Passenger and their other local services are running by Diesel Locomotive. But steam engines " Baby Sevok" are still in the business only for some special executive trains.
NJP-DAJ...........DAJ-NJP only hauled by diesel loco..............but If you want to be hauled by Steam loco you have to book a train that is the train runs only on demand on this main long distance line which is called charter train.............but there is steam hauled called Jungle safari which runs a short distance from Siliguri Junction to Rangtong station
It is really amazing experience, I visited many times in Darjeeling. I boarded toy train many years ago in my childhood.

Yes. It is available. At IRCTC New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling fare is Rs. 1400/- in First Class and Rs. 1500/- in AC Chair Car.
