Sebastian did say that he had always wondered where they came from and that luckily Chase had put the pieces together for Sebastian.

The secret coming out sooner probably was for the best, because if it would’ve happened later, I’d say Sebastian probably could’ve had more of the upper hand because the longer he would’ve wore been with chase them he could have learned more information and really could’ve been one of the most dangerous enemies just like crane
