  • 5 Creative Ways to switch sides & spice up your pole combos! We ALL have a favorite side regardless of how consistently we train both sides. Sometimes it's a better split side or maybe just a better angle for that money shot coming up! So I have for you, FIVE (and a bonus) creative ways that you can switch sides in your combos without making it obvious that you are purposely switching sides! These are great ideas to have in your back pocket for any of your combo creations but especially for those of you working on putting together a performance or competition piece!

    Fact: I'm from Melbourne/Australia and one of the studio's "circus climb" is called "spider climbs" here (2 aerial straddles) and it's part of INTERMEDIATE GRADED COMBINATION!

      Lots of names for combos and moves throughout the pole community. And levels are also quite varied studio to studio.

    Torso switch for the most subtle! Pulling up into figurehead I feel I’m burning up more upper body strength :/

      Use your legs more on the figurehead pull up! I really think of engaging my butt to push my legs down so my arms don't have to work as hard.
