As Wendy Darling (Rachel Hurd-Wood) recounts stories to her brothers, John (Harry Newell) and Michael (Freddie Popplewell), she is visited by Peter Pan (Jeremy Sumpter). Peter, a boy who magically never ages, invites Wendy and her brothers to Neverland, an island where he lives with the Lost Boys. Once there, however, Wendy and her brothers are kidnapped by Captain Hook (Jason Isaacs). Peter, with assistance from the fairy Tink (Ludivine Sagnier), must face Hook in order to rescue the Darlings.
Hook has the most legit fear ever, giant 30ft croc that’s developed a taste for him.
I too would sh*t my pants if I ever see the giant croc who took my hand, still wanting the rest of me.
Everybody comes back even the people and Crocodile.

Hooks' crew was lucky Tick tock only had eyes for Hook. Otherwise that croc might've had an appetizer before the main course.
I love that Pan and Hooks relationship, while adversarial, is such that Hook is fine with playing along with Pan's game for a bit and doing the whole 20 questions thing even if its just to be a distraction
In the play though hook literally had no clue and Peter reveled himself
YYYYYYYYYYEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We are all lost boys, true north is heaven. We play games with everyone. I do believe in fairies I do! Everything exists here even hell for eternity but everyone plays because of love of nature. Crocodile, Peter and hook always come back and so does your enemies.
it's just good form
Good form! Blast good form! Did Pan show good form when he did this to me?
'You. Let. Them. Go.' The way he delivers that line. Just priceless!
I love the age they chose for Peter’s actor. The actor was stupendous and this movie is highly underrated considering it’s art. But back to his age, I like that his voice cracks but hasn’t dropped yet. Going with the theme of the tipping point between being a kid and growing into a young adult. As if Peter rebuked growing up right when he was about to start
I always laugh at 2:58 when Peter impersonates Hook, calling Mr. Smee's name after the real Hook shot the pirate next to him in frustration, and Mr. Smee just screams in horror lol.
I never heard the English version before... in German he screams so weird it's kinda funny but i love it
@@theenchantedteapot5882 It's funny in the English version too lol
This movie is actually fun and great and compared to the 2015 is a masterpiece
Haha 😂 yes
It’s also closer to the book
Compared to the 2015, Freddy vs Jason is a masterpiece
@@Aaron-nm1ob no way this movie from 2003 is better than both of those films the 2015 one wasn’t great and that horror movie you mentioned according to the box office and to critic as well as some fans it’s just crap, a joke, a real shitty movie, and just plain stupid however that’s those peoples opinions you are entitled to your own
we do not speak of the 2015 movie
Love how they chained up the teddy bear too 😂
😂😂😂😂
I mean they couldn't very well have him running off, now could they?
We all know that Teddy Bears are often sly folk.
my fave part is 4:00. he really brought his own musical instrument

Hook: SMEEEEEEE!!!
Smee: (Breaks fourth wall) It's all a bit tragic, really, ain't it?
we never understood it when we were young, biut now we're older......

🤣😅😂
Jason Isaacs really sounds like Hans Condried when he screams "Smee!"
Lol he sounded exactly like the cartoon.
why is peter pan evil in the series once upon a time?
Can we just appreciate the music in this scene? Especially when they start fighting? Masterpiece!
Jason Isaacs is wonderful as Hook.
Names can mean the same person in another life, Hook and Pan always come back to play with the lost boys. Robin Williams is the professor.
And hotter than hell
@@Cuntstantine he played a creepy old man
They will never make another live action remake as good as this
To me, this is the Disney’s live action remake of Peter Pan
Be tough to make one worse. Granted, the 2015 exists...
It's not technically a remake though I can't think of a previous live action Peter Pan film that was made before this one
@@masterknife8423 Um. You remember Steven Spielberg’s Hook? It’s not that relevant to the books but it exists
@@josearielortiz2055 it's the GOAT
My man Smee with the perfectly-timed fourth wall break at the end 😂😂😂
later near the end, he does it again it is insane funny XD
I feel so bad for Hook in this movie. He was alone and desperate. Constantly stalked by death itself and dealing with a boy who treats his life as a joke.
I agree! They really humanized him in this version, which made him more interesting as a villian.
Hook is still evil for wanting to kill Wendy, John, and Michael who did nothing to him. Not to mention Hook tricked Wendy into getting what he wants. Lastly it’s implied Hook is a child predator towards Wendy and Peter and Hook kills his own men.
This was the least tragic version of Hook ever written, it’s made clear he was a monster even before losing his hand to Pan. Not to mention he’s constantly murdering members of his crew merely for kicks. And he can effortlessly avoid the Crocodile by remaining on the ship but no, he just has to hunt down innocent children and natives in his spare time. He mentally abuses Pan during the final battle and uses the thought of his death torment the Lost Boys. The only sympathy he gets from the audience is the fact that the film emphasizes the fact that he’s always remain feared and unloved which has possibly led him into a state of depression. Pan acknowledges this and makes up for it by offering him a fair fight in the end.
@@Shadowofthebarren7286 I don't know why but I've always been more captain Hook than Peter Pan
Talking about choosing sides

Malfoy isn't afraid of the dark lord. He's afraid of a crocodile
Fitting that both this film and Chamber of Secrets involve characters getting chased by a giant monstrous reptile.
That isn’t malfoy
@@Yourock123 yes it is in the Harry Potter films this actor plays Lucius Malfoy
He later makes a pigeon sound to the Dark Lord tho. LOL
I just spent 20 minutes looking up Tom Felton movies and media only to realize from another commenter in this thread that you meant Lucius Malfoy
One of the most underrated film’s of all time.

Love this scene!! Me and my bestie especially lost it over *"if you were me, I be ugly"*
After reading the novel, this movie is the closest and best adaptation from the novel.
With minor improvements imo though I would have liked to have Wendy's mom recognize Peter in a movie
@@avrilfan0521 Did Peter meet Wendy's mom before?
@@iammask1073 in the book it implies that Mrs Darling knows who Peter is even addressing him by name and insinuating that her "hidden kiss" belongs to him. But since book Peter has memory issues/complications he dosnt remember Mrs Darling.
I actually like the musical play that J.M. Barrie himself wrote better than even the 1953 Disney adaptation. More songs, and more action fighting etc.
Tell me, does the novel include a subplot of Wendy girl-crushing on Hook?
Who ever they cast to play hook i have to say they nailed it.
Jason Isaacs my man. Dudes been in a ton of films. Usually plays the villain in most of his roles and a damn good one at that!
the whole cast were spot on
He's Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies
That crocodile is terrifying I don’t care how fake it looks
Captain Hook's hook looks AWESOME!!! 🏴☠
Oh yeah!
Nice and scary- looking, like something that'd be used for butchering cattle!
Jason Issacs' Hook is like a Victorian Gentleman.
This was hands-down the best adaptation of the original story ever made. Hook is the best Pan film though.
I was friends with the girl who played Wendy for a while. Rachel Hurd Wood. We met at a theatre charity and exchanged emails. Kept contact for a while until life just took over. Good times. Glad she’s doing well.

Actually, the crocodile is female in the original story.

James Matthew Barrie wrote a badass story and turned it into a great fairy tale classical masterpiece about a heroic orphan boy who can fly vs a iconic villainous pirate captain rip James Matthew Barrie
Jason Isaacs always plays a bad guy. He’s pretty good at it too.
He has the look and wit. A classious villain.
The music at 4:00 has no right to be so majestic
"Ready to lose the other one" love that line plus in the book Peter Pan wasn't as nice as in the movies and he could be a cruel killer at times

This scene is CUT from its theatrical version. About ten seconds after Hook moves at Peter, he head butts him and Peter reacts and does limp in his hands close up, then Hook slowly lowers him. It's censored. This has been censored for a long time now on cable and even on some of the DVDs.

The flying scenes haven't aged well in my opinion. The blue screen is pretty obvious
I kinda like the corny effects. Beats the filters of the late 2000s
