Making my own Skateboards!

  • This is a really old video, but I just found it again and thought it was pretty cool, so I uploaded it. I loved the boards that I pressed, but sadly, the cement cracked and I haven't got around to fixing it yet..
    I built the skate press with my dad in a week or so using the instructions from DIYskate.com and it came out great! Hopefully I get the time to get it working again!

  • @randylandry5332
    @randylandry5332 8 років тому +56

    So it takes about 10-15 minutes to make a deck, I could make 5 decks an hour, do that for 10 hours and make 50 decks, sell them for $35 each and make $1,750, I can do that everyday and make $12,250 every week, so that's $580,000 a year just by making decks in my backyard.
    Doctors and Lawyers only make around $200,000-$300,000 a year. Haha and my parents told me skateboarding was wasting my life, pfft!

      boo man1010 I'm thinking the opposite. It would be a fun thing to do a few times, but after that it's just a hassle. If you value your time at all, then I would say that making your own boards is not cost effective.

    • @demmery1160
      @demmery1160 9 років тому

      probably not, well definitely not if you dont own a single tool then your looking at about a lets say $500 for the tools but if you own all these or can get access to them then yes it would be cheaper and the feeling you get when you see something that you made in use cant be bought. but if you have your heart set on making you own try making 3-4 at a time and selling them to your friends you will be able to cover the cost of the tools in no time and if you truly love making them its a great way to use up your spear time and can make you a few dollars
