How to get your first gun in rust fast and easy a rust getting started guide to guns

- Rust is difficult enough without having to face players who have guns while you're still stuck in the stone age! That's why today I'm going to teach you how to get your first gun in rust! Being able to get a gun in rust fast is very important as often the quickest one to get a gun is the one to get all the loot!
That's why in this rust guide I'm going to show you how I get started and get guns within 30 minutes or less on ANY SERVER. I've done this on officials, community, small pop, max pop. It doesn't matter as long as you follow this guide and play to YOUR strengths!
Pay attention and by the end of this, I'll have you geared up and taking drops on wipe day! No longer will you hide from fights, you're going to have guns quickly! Don't forget to leave a like and subscribe if this video helps you!

I had the same situation on my first day in Rust, which was 3 days ago. Somehow, i managed to turn the entire area where i built my humble shack(between dome, lighthouse, gas station and some radioactive industrial complex) into one friendly boyscout camp.
Now Mexicans, Russians, Germans and other people all getting along and giving me bunch of stuff i struggle to cram into my crates. Not to stroke my own ego, but man's greatest weapon truly is his voice and charisma i suppose.
Inb4: i play on vanilla EU, so no "friendly PVE" kind of server. Hopefully i haven't just jinxed it!
6 months later iv deleted this piece of toxic boring pointless shit off my ps5😂
I cant believe there are people dissing this strat, i wasnt getting guns until the end of the first day as a solo previously. Even if I get killed with my gun after half an hour of running, Ill have x bullet bp'd and it will take that much less time to send it again! I really love this strat, props

Bro, I never knew there was a workbench at Bandit... I have almost 800 hours in the game, so I already knew most of what you explained in the video, EXCEPT THE WORKBENCH, thank you man this is a game changer. Before this I would always run past Bandit just to get to Outpost for the workbench

This is very handy knowing that I could start a fresh wipe at bandit camp and get all the necessary things for surviving, thanks and you get a sub.

Just did this 1 hour into wipe. Got the pistol got a crossbow got some armour and while roaming I got killed by 2 fully armoured guys with Thompsons in under 1 second….

Rust is a tough game to manage. But it is extremely fun. I just wish I was better at PvP especially because I work a lot and can't commit to a server where teamplay is a big deal I don't want to feel like I am just coming an hour or two throughout the week losing gear and hopping off while not contributing. This is why I am watching this video to learn how to have a higher chance at weapons especially in the Solo servers I play in (Vortex Solo) mainly. Because even in these medium pop servers the PvP gets a little poppin

You should do some vids on full wipes (like 53 minute vids)
Things like that typically don't do to well for me rn unfortunately. The discoverability is fairly low. I may put out one or 2 just for those subs who wanna see it though
I suppose the main danger is getting killed while you're still in the process of traveling the map to obtain the weapon. But I suppose this is a factor no matter what strategy you employ, so I thank you for this interesting advice. It's a well made video, and I'll get back to you on my thoughts once I've put it into practice!

@@Reksmore Thanks. Do you think a variation would work where I buy the spas shotgun instead of the pistol, fill it with handmade shells and run military tunnels might work out?
@@Joshua_Griffin I would think that wouldn't be as strong of an option. If you're going that route, a db from outpost could be better cuz you can bp it.
@@Reksmore That's pretty smart. Thank you, that's a better idea on a wipe day. DB is intensely useful. Also, I tried running tunnels with spas, and it was crazy hard 😬 I think I'll need to find a way to get sar quickly
@@Reksmore Do you ever buy a rifle from bandit camp on wipe? And try to be the first to run monuments that have bots? Just curious if this is a possibility, I'm fairly new to rust and have always progressed a lot slower than others, so I'm looking for ways to speed myself up on wipe day. Although I understand that possibly the main drawback of a rifle on wipe day is that you need tier 2 to produce ammo I suppose... But you referred to running oil rig in this video, what equipment do you use?

How I get guns fast: having a friendly voice. Build next to a trio or higher, tell them I want a specific BP, willing to give them anything for it, give them double what they ask for. Guns on tap. I lose all my kits since I’m crap but being friendly in targeted ways can stop you being raided and get you stuff you need. My friendly voice is my biggest asset and weapon rn since I’m shid at pvp 😂😂😂

Voice chat is what makes rust IMO and so many people don't use it properly

cool but this fooled me since I thought abandoned cabins was the same as bandit camp. Got quite pissed when I got mowed down there by people with way more powerful guns. My server map doesn't have bandit camp
Try going to the ranch there are a ton of food crates and barrels. And no one is ever there.
Easy for pc players but us p4 players we got 100 players in a small asf map. When I open my door I see like 6 bases right next to me lmao on ps4 it's kinda shit no lie
Maybe your playing the wrong server, I usually play like 300 pop on us main and there are bases everywhere

imo spas is better than m9 if you have a crossbow or compound bow. also handmade shells are hella cheap

Went to bandit on my super high stamina horse , find out the guy I wanted to buy semi auto from raised the price , try to run back and get shot down by Thompson. Repeat.

Pistol ammo is easy, buy m9 and research a bullet, buy smoke grenades from outpost and recycle for bullet mats
for an lr, you'll need to either get to tier 2 and do the same or go into mil tunnels/oil rig/train tunnels

Quicker and cheaper way to get a gun with ammo. Farm barrels around bandit camp and in bandit camp and grind up whatever you have until you get around 350+ scrap, (gambling is an option too) Buy the M 92 pistol and a couple of grenades, grind up the grenades for gun powder and metal, research a bullet from the pistol, and craft more bullets from the grinded up grenades. This can all be done within the safety of bandit camp.

1k? 250 scrap gets you a gun. Which is like 10 minutes hitting barrels in the ocean or roads

That's so bad method. I think you should make base first and grind scrap and if you hear shooting you should always go for it even if you are alone.
