  • I restore the scrap dresser and turn it into a wonderful piece of furniture.
Hello, this week I will be renovating a dresser that was in the trash. First of all, I can say that I am very pleased with the result of the transaction, I hope we will agree. Since the frame parts of the dresser are quite solid, I do not make any changes to the frame. There is only rot at the bottom, so I cover it with a wooden mold and of course I repair the rotten part with the help of putty.
When it comes to the drawers, I first sand them, clean the painted part, and repair the broken parts with wood filler. Then, I cut slats and glue them to create a frame for the front of the drawers. To prevent the drawers from collapsing inside, I add seals to the bottom, so there is no collapsing in the work anymore. Only the painting part remains. I complete this part by painting two coats. Here we are with a great restoration video.
Thank you in advance to everyone who watches the video. If you have any questions, you can write them in the comments section below.

The chalk paint look isn’t my style, but it looks 1000 times better than it did, and it’s now functional. Well done sir. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Did you use a hot glue gun?

This dresser looks unfinished. Did you use hot glue to apply the wood. It’s not gonna stay long. The paint did not turn out nice at all. I would go over the paint again a few more times and also put a top coat on it. I hope you’re not planning on selling that piece and if you do you should tell them how you did it so they know it will probably not last that long.

I also used nails additionally to prevent detachment from the areas where I used silicone. I repeated the painting process several times. At least, I sand the paint of the product to clean it, then apply the paint, and instead of using a brush that leaves marks on the product, I use a sponge roller.😉
