*Spoilers* At 10:10 Trevor seems to have an indestructible Sol Ring, enabling him to make 2 angels to block Sean's commander and kill him afterwards. Yes, at 10:42 he realises his mistake, however, simply removing the Ring does not suffice in my book. Apart from that, sweet game!
Half way through, and I have to tell you, best commander content provider in all of youtube! Love it ! I'd like to see a marath token build! Greetings from Germany
And he uses it immediately afterword to make angels. Oh how I absolutely hate people that put their mana rocks down with their lands. This is what happens.
Unless I'm missing something, didnt Cesar have anger in the yard and a mountain in play by the time he cast omnath, so he could've taken out people with him or his elementals post torment
I really enjoy seeing strong decks in action. And with "strong" I do mean "with money-expensive (=really good) cards, because that way I can enjoy EDH in a way I can't play it myself!
Windgrace is OP. He can ramp like crazy and recover from his own land destruction spells. -_- Also, upon seeing big boy Trevor's commander, I'm guessing his commander wants his Bad Romance :v Also also, Mike winning using another "Mike" and without "Trike" at that. :3
Intimidate is surprisingly relevant in my games when I play Mikaeus... but there was this one game where my opponent was using Samut, and she hit me and died after the first strike damage; it turns out only I remembered that Mikaeus has an ability that destroys humans. :P
10:15 so he wasn't actually dead on the next turn because only one angel could actually be made which Trevor had to block with, meaning he had no angels that could attack EVEN THOUGH he did fix it on the next turn, the angel wouldn't have haste to kill him, although the winner would probably have been the same no matter what
A pity Cesar didn't play Glacial Chasm again at 9:22. With Ghost Quarter gone and both Crucible of Worlds and Exploration he could sac it at his upkeep, play basic from graveyard, swing with the elementals (shooting Bolts when they die) and replay Chasm every turn.
Trevor's sol ring should have been destroyed at 10:13, so he could have only blocked with the one angel, leaving sunspeaker alive Edit: should have kept watching I guess 😂
Eh not for nothing but since the Luminarch Ascension is a “May” I’d say you treat it like missed Rhystic Study triggers. Especially since it changed the outcome of this game.
Keeping the sol ring was a mistake, for sure, but I don't think it would have changed the game as much as you think. Trevor could still have floated the sol ring mana and made two angels before the phase passes. Then Sean basically gets to play kingmaker. If he attacks Trevor, he has to block and Mike wins. If he doesn't attack or attacks Mike, Trevor has the ability to attack both of them, killing Sean and dealing 4 to Mike, and then Trevor can make an angel with his remaining mana, and then Trevor will win whether or not Mike attacks with scourge. It's basically the same position that Sean was in before the indestructible sol ring was caught. Sean just chose to give Mike the game instead of Trevor with that attack.
@@dapitt848 He could have used it in the same phase before it passes to the combat step, since the austere command is a sorcery and was cast in the main phase. Every player has to pass priority before the phase passes, so he would still have had an opportunity to make angels.
@@dapitt848 Yeah, missing the fact that the Sol ring should have been destroyed screws up a lot, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming best play if he hadn't accidentally thought that sol ring was a land.
Is Cesar new with his deck? Because having crucible+glacial chasm makes you pretty much immune to death on such kind of table. Also, constant forgetting about exploration second landdrop and haste to the team by Anger.
You didnt kill the whole table when you cast torment in the MTGGoldfish game! All seriousness, you should try and go back and play those guys it's fun to here you live!
Cool game, but Sean shouldn't have died when he did. Trevor forgot his Sol Ring was getting destroyed and only would have been able to make 1 angel because of it. Would have had to chump Firesong with it. I think Mike was still pretty well positioned to win, but this would have changed the game.
I get that this is just a casual game between friends, but I think the consequences for the sol ring misplay should have been disqualification and Sean back in. If it had been earlier in the game, and he had t literally saved his own life followed by killing someone with the ring, not so harsh, but as is, yeah, I’d be mad as Sean.
Before I begin this video I would like to say, I hope this Windgrace deck is done properly. There is a way to break him, I know how but know one else seems to have found the answer yet.
Welp, unfortunately he didn't build the correct way. If you would be willing to tell me email address I could send you the deck list that makes Windgrace completely broken.
"Building the right way" is super condescending. There are all kinds of reasons for someone to not build it the same as you. I can understand wanting to see a list similar to yours get played, but please don't diminish others for playing something they build.
@@johannpohland2826 I'm not even referring to land destruction. Although, it's also a broken ability in it, there are multiple ways to get get really massive creatures out there and also ways to cast really big X spells to take everyone out.

Slightly used and still warm sword of the anime.
Love the dry delivery.

"He equips the sword of the anime onto the sad robot"

Proud of everyone for not giving in to that Tempt with Discovery. Setting a good example right there

Trevor is a dirty cheater
As a fellow windgrace player. Those misplays hurt me 😞
Coming from the command zone, the brisk pace is quite refreshing.
I need a sword of the anime alter art.
I'm not sure why Cesar didn't take out Mike after playing Omnath and making a token... Haste /w Anger... 9:19
Mistakes were made lol
He probably forgot about it. It happens.
i was going to say i wondered why he didn't play the command tower after omnath, but looking close itseems he had only one mountain.
Whenever I run a deck with anger, if he goes to my graveyard he goes on the center of my playmat so I don't forget
An unorthodox Mickey kill, love it!
Its so much fun to see Windgrace decks hum so effectively.
A very close game! Seeing Elesh Norn in the command zone always makes me nervous! 😂
Firesong deck list goes to the wrong deck list, also Windgrace doesn't have a link. Great video as always!

Sean definitely wins the aesthetic award of the day for the sweet Guild Kit lands and matching Boros sleeves
Trevor keeping his sol ring after the austere command made a difference
He could still have floated the mana in response and then used it to make the angels prior to combat. It wasn't that huge of a difference.
Great game, but Cesar forgot Anger on graveyard. He could killed Mike with Omanath and token.
I was screaming at my screen. He could have made 2 tokens and kill everyone.
Mans also missed a lot of land drops with Exploration

Really liked that Olivia deck super sweet and he had a pretty good start.

cesar made some strange decisions, yes.

Excellent fun game as always, incredibly how everything was normal and then Torment of Hell fire change the field
I have a Solemn Simulacrum altered to look like Alphonse Elric, so “sword of the anime” has another layer of joke for me.

what 3 awesome videos of generic goblin noises this week! Happy birthday!
There's another game from The EDH Lounge dropping tomorrow too!
I swear I hear "Scizor" every time you say "Cesar"... :o
"The sad robot equips the sword of the anime" has to be one of the greatest quotes taken out of context
Cesar had some odd sequencing of his spells and abilities that may have cost him the game

Swords an attack trigger so the land should hit the field before damage goes through.
You're right. We just take a bit of a casual approach to it.

Using Boros charm to save the wall seems....loose
I think that there is a mistake in the description. The Firesong & Sunspeaker Decklist links you to the wrong decklist. Might wanna fix that
When you cast Torment of Hallfire make sure you kill everyone. That´s a good piece of advice :)
Thoughts on making Oathbreaker vids?
Mike won with Mike!
miss play on cesar, he should of played omnath first than drop two lands

We're pretty casual about these things.
MTG Muddstah that’s fair too. Just a thought.
It should've been "Elegant Elesh Norn" :)
Shit, if I had one of those judge promos of Elesh Norn, I'd keep a deck sleeved with her at the helm at ALL times too, just on principal.
Ouch. That Sol Ring misplay T_T Trevor wouldn't have been able to swing. Might have changed the game.
I think Mike had it in the bag, honestly.

True, but he clearly didn't and ended up using the destroyed ring midcombat when it would have been too late to float mana.
Mikaeus winning The game by attacking? Now that's new xD
Trevors sol ring should have blown up when Sean played the cmc3 or less and artifacts command.
