Why do people keep saying Madeira doesn't have sandy beaches?? Praia Formosa (kind of, it depends on the tide), Praínha and my personal favorite Seixal. Just because it's black sand doesn't mean it's not a sandy beach. You go to Madeira for the adventure, you go to Porto Santo to rest and relax
Yes, Seixal has a real sandy black beach, but it just isn’t the same as a white and golden beach where you can see the crystal clear water. The fake beaches on Madeira with imported sand are not very nice. Especially Calheta beach is ugly and actually kind of dirty. Never been a fan of that.
@@joenandamalie fortunately there is Crystal clear water in most "peer like beaches" on Madeira, try ribeira do natal for example, you will be amazed! I have also seen underwater videos in prainha that have crystal clear water. Last but not the least, in maiata beach in low tide, just after the wave breaks, you will see amazing crystal water in dark sand mode, you can see the waves forming underwater with such a detail. It is the best sandy beach on the island if conditions are met, however be careful as when the sea is fierce there are rip currents and the sea is often fierce there.

in the 90s, one of my best friends, contracted legionnaires' disease in a hotel in Porto Santo and died on the same day, in Madeira Island, where he was evacuated in an emergency... it was his birthday. RIP Ricardo Terra da Motta
Thank you for the video:) Porto Santo has the best beach! Just a few comments, Madeira does have a few small sandy beaches, but you already know that:P. Porto Santo water will get way warmer in August/September, not as warm as the greek islands in the summer, but very warm nonetheless. During the winter, however, Porto Santo is way warmer than the greek islands and the water is also warmer.
The next time you go to Porto Santo you have to go to "Porto das Salemas" at low tide. It's really amazing! search for photos on instagram or even google.

Horses are funny animals. They are very sensitive so you must be calm and confident with them. Joen, horses usually do not like me either. I have only been on one who I bonded with and that was a pleasure to ride him. They have been preyed on animals so are always on edge and are eating machines. Have to keep their heads up. If they start eating, they become obsessed. I stay away of them for the most part. on the positive side, great beaches and good food and drink. Heaven on Earth.

Turquoise is my favorite color! Porto Santo water is 100% turquoise, unlike the waters of other paradise islands whose water is more cyan than turquoise.
