    🐢 The Sustainable Ocean Alliance (@soalliance) in Ghana empowered more than 100 fishers to protect endangered sea turtles, through events and turtle protection clubs.
    🌳 Kenya declared a public holiday on November 13th to promote mass tree planting. This is part of the country’s ambitious plan to plant 15 billion trees by 2032.
    ⚖️ @wcsnigeria trained 32 magistrates to enhance the prosecution of wildlife crimes in Bauchi State. The workshop also sought to strengthen collaboration between the Bauchi State Ministry of Environment & Yankari Game Reserve.
    🌍 Africa’s first-ever Community-led Conservation Congress was hosted in Namibia, considered a starting point for the continent to define its own conservation policy framework that is inclusive, equitable, rights-based and people-centred.
    🏆 @wildlife_act took gold for ‘Nature Positive Tourism’ at the World Tourism Awards 2023. Focused on endangered species conservation, management of human-wildlife conflict, and community conservation, they’re inspiring others to adopt ethical approaches to tourism
