I read this book years ago but your review unlocked a lot of wonderful memories I had of reading it. I actually visited Brooklyn this summer and whenever I saw an apartment with a fire escape, it reminded me of Francie!
I recently found this book in my schools library and was very interested but i didnt know what it was about, but now im definitely going to check it out. My family is mostly from Brooklyn, and my great grandparents actually immigrated there from Austria and Poland, so i think it will be very interesting to read this book and kind of get a view of what that was like for the characters and have a little insight in what some of my family members might have gone through :)

Alors personnellement j'ai fait des etudes techniques du coup je ne suis pas vraiment en position pour vous conseiller sur les fillieres litteeraires tout simplement parce que je n'ai pas d'experiences les concernant. Par contre, je peux te dire que si tu veux continuer dans la meme branche, n'en doute pas et continue. Ton interet pour la matiere te guidera et t'ouvrira des debouches comme par exemple l'enseignement superieur, la recherche, la traduction, le journalisme , la communication, etc. Bon courage :)

I love this book, for the summer, I had to read this book for English and boy did I enjoy it.
