The reason this is the best version is because this show was in every Aussie lounge room every Saturday night for a decade.. the boys feel at home here, it’s like playing at a mate’s house!
That's very true I feel like HHIS was Australia's lounge room 😂 However I've gotta say I've grown to love the live version from the soul deep tour more, the live band really gets down to it. Truly we're so lucky to have multiple performances of it still accessible.
@@Katrinagaming-en1os The reason it began to die was because they started scripting it, and it lost the 'live' magic it had for 20+ years. Sad really. Rest in Peace John Blackman.
@@ReactionsbyD Not sure if you know shortened names Barnsey and Farnsey, their names are John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes. On guitar is Jimmy Barnes’s brother in law Diesel, real name Mark Lizotte . Yes us Aussie shorten names quite often lol.
@@ReactionsbyDU have reacted to Cold Chisel Khe Sahn. Bow River. When the War is Over... Jimmy Barnes is the lead singer however Ian Moss also sings...❤❤❤
The blonde guy, John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes, Diesel on the guitar is Jimmy's brother in law, also an amazing talent. These guys are absolute Aussie legends. John Farnham's the greatest all round singer on the planet, according to his millions of fans. Daryl and Ozzie Ostrich hosted Hey Hey it's Saturday, a long-running quirky variety television show for 28 years.😊
You don’t know John Farnham? He is our living Legend and named by Richard Marx as the greatest voice alive today. Love it when John shares his microphone with Diesel. He doesn’t need it and we haven’t found a genre he can’t sing yet, including Opera. Have fun watching him.
SOUL music 🎶 🎵 ♥️. JOHN Farnham (the blonde) AKA The Voice, Farnsey, Whispering Jack. Youve reacted to him singing You're the Voice. There's a huge catalogue of his Music on You Tube. Check him out doing ACDC Classic ...It's a Long way to the Top" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Also check out Pressure from the Chain Reaction Concert. ( just a couple to get you started) JIMMY Barnes, aka Barnsey also lead singer of Cold Chisel who you've reacted to a few times. Chrxk out Wild Thing with Cold Chisel from the Last Stand Concert
No you're not going insane lol You have reacted to John Farnham before and also Jimmy Barnes....Johnny Diesel is also a great singer and is the brother inlaw of Jimmy as they married sisters. The term "Barnesy & Farnsey' is a term of endearment as they often make 'guest' appearances at each others concerts lol. Loving your channel my friend...Hi from Australia
Jimmy Barnes(dark jacket) is from Cold Chisel(Australian rock band from the 70's), John Farnham(white shirt) revered as The Voice is an Australian pop turned adult entertainer(over 5 decades of hits); the guitarist is Johnny Diesel(brother-in-law of Jimmy Barnes) from the rock group Diesel and The Injectors.
You MUST do more of John Farnham. Known as "The Voice". He can sing any genre, live technically perfect. He's one of the worlds GOATS, by far. Always do him live & make sure you get the right videos to react to. Ie "You're the Voice" reaction should have been with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Other's to do: Help (with above Orchestra) he did as an encore to a 2.5hr concert. Paul McCartney said JF's version is how it should have been sung & better than the original. "A long way to the Top". "Black Dog" (audio only as it was incredibly only recorded by a engineer in a soundcheck) "Burn for You" (Ballad) "Don't ask me" w Olivia Newton John. His star performance in the best selling musical of all time in "Jesus Christ Superstar". "When the war is over" without Jimmy Barnes done in his 50's is the best ever version, You'll get goosebumps. That's all a great start. I could go on & on. Queen asked him to be their new lead singer but he said no. 50 odd year career. He does every genre. Nothing he can't sing. Always LIVE, LIVE, LIVE.
Just a FYI he didn’t say no to Queen. Queen were blown away by John’s performance of We Will Rock You. Subsequently, Queen recorded a track of We Will Rock you especially for John to record his vocals on (this version is on UA-cam) and they sent this to him. John did the recording, he sent the files over to Queen, management liaised etc. He didn’t get the job but what a huge compliment to be asked in the first place!!

And nobody went out on a Saturday night until after Hey Hey was over. All these years later, I still don’t understand why they canned the show. 🙃
